Enjoyed the story. Narration was terrible.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. I enjoyed the story but would have been more so with a better narrator.

If you’ve listened to books by Jo Barrett before, how does this one compare?

I absolutely loved the first book in the series! This one was enjoyable but conversations between the two lead characters seemed kind of stilted and the women seemed more male than female.

Would you be willing to try another one of Allison Cope’s performances?

No! Her performance was awful.

Did Rogue's Challenge inspire you to do anything?

No.

loved the book but.....

I really liked the book although.... not as much as the first one. Allison Cope is THE WORST READER EVER!!!!!! She reads like a high school student emphasizing the wrong words. Her accent is atrocious. She makes the Scottish characters sound like Irish leprechauns. it made the book a bit less enjoyable. Book is 3 stars and Allison minus one star!

Horrible Narrator

This narrator was so inconsistent with her accents. And to make it worse (in my opinion) was I don't even think she was doing a Scottish accent she was speaking with an Irish accent! Plus there were several times that the character was supposed to be whispering or talking softly and it was almost like she yelled. Fun story tho! Glad I listened to the second book to know what happened!

The Narrator makes it too hard to listen

I'm sure the book is good enough, since I enjoyed the first one, but the narrator is so hard to listen to I had to turn it off. I would have left the story part unrated but it wouldn't allow that. It seems like it would be on par with the 1st book.

Good story, read it don't listen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

No! The story is good, the reader has inconsistent accents and voice level making the reading abrupt and unpleasant.

What didn’t you like about Allison Cope’s performance?

Accents and intonation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I'll read the book instead.

Could not stand the narrator

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Had the narrator been good I might have been able to at least finish the book.

Story fine, narration terrible

The story was fine, but the narration was terrible and seriously detracts from the overall presentation.

A book you can read or listen to over and over !!

A love to withstand the test of time...literally! Ian Sotherland is from time past. Jenny is from the future. When Ian travels through time to whisk Jenny to the past to attend the birth of her best friend's baby, the feisty young woman turns his world upside down. Will love tame the Rogue and lead this couple to a bright future together?

Interesting story, but a challenge to listen to

I enjoyed the story. Time travelling to Scotland in the past is always fun. And this book requires that you read the previous book in the series because the characters are connected and there are references to previous events that eluded me. The story is adventurous, romantic and even humourous. But what it isn't is well narrated and that took away from the overall experience.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

poor performance destroyed story

I enjoyed the first in this series and the performance was good, adding to the story. this actor is different and makes the writing seem clunky and misrepresents the emotions of the characters. accents are awful. than god no one Scottish was the love interest. sex scenes so in sexy. slurred words. 1 star is too many for this narrator.

A bit of a let down.

No where as good as book 1. The story was very cliche. The narrator was very stiff.
