Every bit as good as the first.
I praised the first book rightfully so for being just as amazing as the narrator they paired with it. Nothing has changed. Still EPIC.

WTF
The story is good, but WTF is the author's issue with killing off new harem women. Seriously, even when they won't join the party, dead! There are only two, but dang. They could have been left alone instead of killed off.

Beholder and dragon and spiders, oh my!
Volume two advanced the story and held my interest throughout. Terry Mack with his female lovers are committed to stopping the Twilight Zone from overrunning Celestine. After eliminating the Vicereine of Florence it was only a matter of time before the next Champion appeared to destroy Florence and eliminate Terry. Unfortunately, the next one happens to be a huge dragon. Meantime, Terry is still flummoxed by the what, why, where questions of his present situation. Stay tuned to find out if Terry, together with his friends and followers will overcome the dragon, the Spider Queen, and the demonic horde from the Twilight Zone.

I've been pleased with the first two books. it's a smutty and funny read. both the fight scenes and love scenes are very detailed and tess irondale the narrator is top notch.

Such a great series
The harem fantasy genre in general is really taking off right now but this is definitely one of the standout series. The main character is likeable and flawed, which makes him more relatable. And all the other ancillary characters really flesh out the world. Narrator is top notch.
