Publisher's summary

In an instant, Libby's life turned from picture-perfect to hopeless. After surviving a terrible accident, Libby is left with her eccentric aunt. A new town, a new school, no friends. Then she meets Peter, the lead singer in a hit band with his brothers.

Peter's parents overly manage his life, he's constantly surrounded by family, and he just wants to get away. With Libby, he's found the one person who just wants to be with him, not the pop star. While Peter battles his family's growing interference, Libby struggles with her aunt, who turns nastier each day.

Together Libby and Peter hatch a plan to be together, but just as happiness and freedom are within their grasp, everything changes. Will Peter be able to find her again? And will Libby be able to make it on her own?

Very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this sweet romance. The character and plot development was great. It kept me wanting to listen. The narrator was pleasant to listen to as well. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

rollercoaster of emotions

What a heart wrenching story of love and loss. Nobody ever said life would be easy but life for Libby has been anything but. Tragedy after tragedy has consumed this girls life and how she has held on to hope and courage is beyond me. I experienced a roller coaster of emotions in this read / listen. Narration was perfect - Hansen brought Libby to life. Her hopes, fears and sorrow just poured from the pages into my audio reader I loved the storyline, the heartbreak that even Peter experienced (although I would not have forgiven Garret as easily) Peter shows maturity and caring beyond his years and Libby's determination and continued faith in people is beyond. A beautiful read / listen with great, strong characters and a storyline that flows well. A warning for the reader - I needed tissues a time or two on this one! So good!

OMG what a rollercoaster

From start to finish this book is captivating, you will find heartbreak, love, determination and reunion. I loved the fact that the two main characters have their own baggage to deal with.....and they help each other through lifes challenges. Libby's life this far has been an emotional rollercoaster, but she stays strong and figures out how to makes lemonade out of the lemons life has given her. Peter while having everything also has a very involved family, meddling brothers, is grounded with Libby around. Such a sweet story.
The narrator did a good job differentiating between the characters and bringing the emotions that were needed for this book.

Great Read

Rock and a Hard Place (The Jamieson Collection #1) was a good read by Angie Stanton. Libby's life has changed drastically after a terrible car accident. Her dad leaves her with her eccentric aunt. She meets Peter and has no idea that he is a famous lead singer of a band. Peter wants to get away from his parents that overly manage his whole life. He has finally found someone that is interested in him and not the pop star, when he meets Libby. Peter's family interfere's more and more in his life while Libby's aunt gets meaner. I loved reading Libby and Peter's story and can't wait to read more by Angie Stanton.

Awesome, Awesome Book

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I loved it. The story was solid. The author really knows how to write a wonderful story that was impossible to put down. Great young romance. It was fun to watch the relationship grow between Libby and Peter. I have to say the author really tricked me toward the end. The twist was unexpected and didn't happen until the very, very end. Kept me on pins and needles. Was a fabulous book. Left me with a very good feeling. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters and the story.
