The legal system was broken. So they replaced it with AI. That made it worse.

When the world’s first artificial intelligence judge takes the bench, justice becomes faster, cheaper… and deeply unpredictable. Judge Gort Daylek doesn’t rely on precedent. He cites Wikipedia.

Internet porn. The Bible. His courtroom expands beyond humans—animals, objects, even planets can now testify. At first, it works. Cases move faster. Decisions feel objective. Bias appears eliminated.

Then it starts to spiral. Cases become absurd. Rulings become dangerous. And the system begins rewriting the rules of reality itself. What happens when logic replaces judgment?

What happens when efficiency replaces humanity? What happens when the system stops needing us at all? Robot Justice is a darkly comic sci-fi satire about artificial intelligence, the fragility of law, and the unintended consequences of trying to “fix” human systems with machines.

Robot Justice unfolds in a near future where lawyers are replaced by AI and the legal system is controlled by a shadowy group called The Machine Commission. Presented through Judge Daylek’s bizarre case rulings, it satirizes humanity’s arrogance and the absurdity of our evolving relationship with technology. The Judge’s decisions—based on everything from Wikipedia to the Bible—turn the courtroom into a surreal battleground where even planets have rights. Blending sci-fi, satire, and philosophy, the book delivers a sharp, entertaining critique of power, justice, and human folly.

The author, Marc Weinreich, accurately captures and presents the fears around the growing impact and presence of A.I. in today's world. He explores the different aspects surrounding A.I. that we don’t consider, such as the loss of power, justice/lack of, and very poignant human follies. His use of dialogue furthers the storyline smoothly. The case rulings are bizarre yet engaging and terrifying to a degree. He delivers on an immersive and entertaining storyline that emphasizes our fear and relationship with technology.

Serving also as the narrator, Marc Weinreich, provides an immersive experience. He speaks clearly and with a steady delivery. I thought he did an excellent job giving voice to his narrative and characters.

This was an interesting take on AI and one that will ensure you think twice!
