Exceptional book about Faith, Salvation & Recovery

Wonderful book portraying our nature and different stages in the Christian life. Helps us understand infertility and the emptiness couples experience. The recovery process for individuals coming out of prison are good examples for those in Celebrate Recovery to relate to.

This series draws you in

I've listened to 3 books in the series and can't wait to hear the 4th. The main characters share my values and address several issues of believers and non believers. I suggest you read/listen to the books in order to become a part of this small, southern community.

romantic suspense

Narrator did great changing from men's to women's voices quickly. Wonderful story with many characters realizing faith gets them through struggles. Great mix of suspense within that spiritual reference. Found myself cheering inside when character's conflicts were solved.

Trigger: miscarriage, infertility

This book is part of a series, however I was unaware it would be largely focused around miscarriage, infertility, IVF, foster parenting and children reuniting with drug addicted parents, etc. For most readers, this is likely no big deal, but if you've dealt with loss and been through IVF, parts can be hard to listen to. Especially if you're still in the midst of the infertility journey. The author once said that the fertility doctor was "playing God". I took offense to that, because if God doesn't have it in His plan for IVF to work, it won't, regardless of the doctor's ability and the science and technology available to us. The story was suspenseful and the book is a clean read, but if you're in this season of life, just be aware that it's a large part of the storyline.

Doctor, Policeman, Politician or Reporter?

A fantastic story to listen to on our trip across the country. It helped to keep us awake as we listened to the unraveling of a mystery of "Who Was The Guilty Party?"

Truly Amazing Christian Fiction

Terri Blackstock NEVER disappoints but the entire Cape Refuge series is so incredible. River's Edge kept me on the edge of my seat from the first moment until the very end. The true message of faith inside the stories always feels like a renewal. Thank you, Terri, for using your gifts and talents so well. You bless me.
