  • Burnout, Menopause, and the Lie About Women in Midlife with Dr. Melanie Gray
    Mar 31 2026
What if burnout isn't just about doing too much? What if it's also about how long you've been trying to prove your worth? In this conversation with Dr. Melanie Gray, we go way beyond the surface of burnout and menopause. We talk about the deeper pressure so many women carry to keep performing, keep producing, keep holding it all together, and how that pressure follows them straight into midlife. We also unpack the truth that too many women were never taught: menopause is not the end of your power, your relevance, or your impact. If anything, it can be the moment you finally stop letting the world define who you are. Episode Summary In this episode, Dr. Melanie Gray and I talk about burnout in women, menopause symptoms, confidence, self-worth, and the deeper identity shifts many women face in midlife. We unpack why women often tie their value to productivity, titles, and external validation, and how that fuels burnout long before menopause begins. This conversation is a reminder that your body is changing, yes.. but that does not mean your life is shrinking. It may actually be the beginning of your most powerful chapter. What You'll Hear in This Episode Why so many women are quietly tying their worth to their work, titles, and how much they do The identity trap that keeps women proving, pushing, and burning out What menopause can reveal about the way you've been living all along Why midlife is not the end The signs and symptoms more women should know before menopause arrives Why women need better conversations around menopause instead of silence, shame, or guessing The real reason so many women feel like they're "losing themselves" in this season Key Takeaways ✅ Burnout is not always about workload. ✅ Menopause is not your ending. ✅ Women need better preparation for menopause ✅ There's no age that diminishes your choices. Why It Matters Because too many women are hitting midlife thinking the problem is their body… when really, the problem might be the pressure they've been carrying for years. The pressure to keep going. To keep proving. To keep doing it all. To keep acting like nothing has changed. This episode matters because it offers a different lens. One where menopause is not a failure. But a wake-up call. A chance to stop living by old rules that never really served you in the first place. And honestly? More women need that conversation. This Episode Is For You If… ✔️ You feel like your worth has been tied to how much you can do ✔️ You're noticing shifts in your body and wondering what's happening ✔️ You've been trying to "power through" symptoms that don't feel sustainable ✔️ You want to understand menopause before it blindsides you ✔️ You're tired of feeling like burnout is just part of being a woman ✔️ You're craving a new definition of confidence and success for this season "Make the most of where you are and celebrate who you are and where you are." Dr. Melanie Gray If this episode gave language to something you've been feeling, send it to a woman who needs to hear it too. And if you're ready to stop building your life around burnout and start working with your body instead of against it, this is exactly the work I care about most. Listen to the full episode, save it for later, and share it with someone who needs the reminder: You are not your title. You are not behind. And your best years are not over. • What's Actually Blocking Your Next Level (It's Not What You Think)
    Apr 7 2026
Recording this one from my car. After dance class, with a dead microphone and ya know, life is life-ing right now. It's been a beautiful, wild, a little chaotic season and it's teaching me so many things in the midst of the mess. This episode is about what happens when everything starts feeling like too much and your brain starts whispering that the solution is to burn it all down and start over. Again. (I get it. I actually asked my husband to hold me accountable to the next time my mind started going down the "should I try this instead" rabbit holes. And he so politely called me out this last weekend cause I was doing it again). The spiral doesn't always happen. But when it does, chances are it's always happening at the same time of the month. Thanks luteal phase. That phase has a way of pulling everything to the surface. The self-doubt. The "is my offer even good?" doubts. The inner critic who's suddenly got a full TED Talk prepared on why your business, your message, and possibly your entire existence need a complete overhaul. Right now. Urgently. Menstrual cycle awareness gets talked about a lot. What doesn't get talked about nearly enough is how your nervous system patterns are quietly amplifying every single one of those thoughts. What if it's not your offer? Your consistency? Your strategy? What if you've been solving the wrong problem this whole time? This episode goes into the cycle-driven thought patterns that keep women looping through the same story in business, in relationships, in their own growth and what's actually running underneath them. If you've ever restructured your entire business mid-luteal and wondered why nothing shifted… this one's going to resonate with you. Episode Summary In this episode, I'm unpacking the nervous system patterns that keep women repeating the same cycles in business and life, especially during the luteal phase. We're talking about fight, flight, freeze, default behaviors, feminine rhythm, and why your brain will always choose the most familiar path unless you consciously create a new one. If you keep burning things down, pulling away, freezing up, or starting over every month, this episode will help you understand what's actually going on and how to shift it. What You'll Hear in This Episode ✔️ The decision you keep making in your business that has nothing to do with strategy ✔️ Why burning it down feels like progress but is actually keeping you exactly where you are ✔️ There's a difference between refinement and a spiral. Here's how to tell which one you're in ✔️ The moment fight, flight, or freeze took the wheel in your business and why you didn't even notice ✔️ Why motivation was never going to save you (and what actually will) ✔️ What it looks like when you stop repeating the pattern and start writing a new one Key Takeaways 👉 Your unconscious default mode is shaping more than you think. 👉The luteal phase does not create the problem. It reveals it. 👉 Repetition wires the brain. 👉 Awareness is the beginning of change. 👉 You do not need a totally new business or offer.. You just need a new rhythm. Why It Matters Too many brilliant women are blaming their lack of progress on discipline… when the real issue is a patterning. A pattern of: 👉 fighting harder 👉 shutting down 👉 disappearing 👉 doubting themselves 👉 starting over 👉 never letting momentum build And love, that gets exhausting. This matters because your nervous system will cap the results you get if it does not feel safe in the expansion you say you want. This episode is your invitation to stop asking, "Why do I keep doing this?" And start asking, "What pattern is running right now?" If this conversation resonates, you'll also love the deeper embodiment and nervous system work we do at Awaken Your Wild Feminine Retreat. This is exactly the kind of inner shift that changes everything outside of you too. This Episode Is For You If… ✔️ You keep reworking your offers instead of actually moving them forward ✔️You notice the same spiral hits every luteal phase ✔️ You tend to burn everything down when you feel uncertain ✔️ You disappear from your business when things feel too hard ✔️ You freeze, overthink, or stop showing up when fear kicks in ✔️ You are done repeating the same cycle and ready to create a new rhythm "When we can tap into that rhythm and we can tap into aligning with that rhythm, things get so much easier and things move so much faster." • 5 Surprising Ways Your Cycle Can Change How You Run Your Business
    Mar 24 2026

For so long, I believed the problem was me.

Why could I feel so clear, creative, and confident one week… and then feel exhausted, foggy, and questioning everything the next?

But when I began understanding how my menstrual cycle influences creativity, productivity, visibility, and leadership, it completely shifted the way I approach my work and my life.

Cycle syncing didn't just change my schedule.

It changed how I trust my body, make decisions in my business, and show up as a leader.

If you've ever wondered why some weeks you feel unstoppable and other weeks you feel like everything takes twice as much effort, this conversation might give you the clarity you didn't even know you were missing.

    Episode Summary

In this episode, I share the five surprising lessons cycle syncing taught me about running a business and managing energy as a woman. We will also explore how menstrual cycle phases impact creativity, productivity, visibility, and leadership.

✔️ Why aligning your business with your natural rhythms can transform the way you create, lead, and make decisions

Key Takeaways ➡️ Your cycle can be a powerful strategic tool

Instead of seeing hormonal shifts as a problem, they can guide when to create, plan, and execute.

➡️ The menstrual phase can bring clarity

Many women experience deep intuition and creative insight (and your highest revenue ideas) during this phase.

➡️ Productivity isn't meant to look the same every day

Women operate on a monthly rhythm, not a 24-hour cycle like men.

➡️ Shame around our bodies keeps women disconnected from their power

When women understand their cycle, they often feel more confident and authentic.

➡️ Listening to your body creates sustainable leadership

Your body isn't working against you, it's offering signals that can improve how you live and work.
