Publisher's Summary

Agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock must protect the life of a young political speechwriter in this New York Times bestseller in Catherine Coulter’s FBI Thriller series.

A senior speechwriter for the governor of New York, Becca Matlock is at the top of her professional game when she receives a disturbing phone call that threatens everything: “Stop sleeping with the governor or I’ll kill him.” The thing is, she’s not sleeping with her boss, but that fact doesn’t stop the calls from the man who refers to himself as her “boyfriend.”

When her stalker murders an innocent in New York City and the governor is shot in the neck, Becca comes under suspicion and takes off for the sanctuary of Riptide, an isolated community on the coast of Maine. But she soon finds herself at even greater risk...

FBI special agents Savich and Sherlock are in Riptide to help out an old friend of Savich’s father, and soon become embroiled in Becca’s deadly situation. But as enemies new and old circle closer, time is running out for them all.

Critic Reviews

"The suspense builds and with it a romance between Becca and Adam, her main protector. Coulter has penned another fun read. The characters are well drawn and act plausibly." ( Library Journal)

You reap what you sow..

The story was a fast paced, action packed, post Cold War/spy thriller. But the topic could have been coined from today’s Britain and USA news headlines.
All the characters were fully developed, engaging and realistically portrayed. Even when you thought the story was over, there was an added little surprise and suspenseful thrill towards the end.
The narrator did a very good job of conveying the story line and depicting the personality of each character.
A very spectacular and engrossing listen. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Riptide

Are we really expected to believe that the FBI and CIA would let an amateur run the show? This was not one of my favorite books or readers. Maybe if the reader was a little more enthusiastic and not so childlike she could have helped this book a little.

Enjoyable, Bu....

I really enjoy this authors books and stories, but her excessive, & (any) use of using the Lord’s name is vain makes me want to D/C her books. Try being a little more creative and broadening your vocab. Taking the Lord’s name in vain is very offensive to many people, way repetitive in her books and becomes mundane! It upsets me so much too, that I lose my concentration. Which totally is another negative against this author! Don’t minimize yourself so much! You’re a great story teller, but you seriously need to nix the offensive words out! Thank you!

Great Storyline !!!

Loved the story but hated the male narration. It was absolutely horrid. I almost quit the story a few times but I love Dylan Savich !!! I’ll have to watch out for the narrators 😩😲😱

Love Catherine Coulter's FBI Thrillers. Great Book

Love Dillion and Sherlock. They make you feel as if you are in the book with them. Can't wait to see what they do next.

Enjoyed the story

I enjoyed the story. Love these FBI thrillers. Great twist and turns. The narration was excellent. She didn't skip a beat when changing from one character to another. It's very easy to distinguish which character was speaking. She did a great job . I think I'd listen to any book she narrated. I'm getting ready to download the next book in the series and I hope she narrates it also. Even if she isn't the narrator I'm sure the next book will be just as good as the first five. I'm looking forward to it.

not a favorite

I was optimistic going in but I lost interest over time. I did not enjoy the "love triangle". And the narrator made the character sound 57 and not 27. I'm hopeful for the next book in the series. I enjoy Savich and Sherlock
