Publisher's summary

Brutal. Intense. Passionate. The world of the scarred souls.

They call me 901. I am a monster, a killer, a champion. In the blood pit I am a god. I have no name, no family, and no identity. When master says fight, I fight...until I am the only one left standing. I have one goal, to fight so well that I am freed. I don't need friends, I don't need women. They are weaknesses. I am strong. Until I see her. She is gorgeous and kind and off-limits to me. She was stolen as a child to be the worst type of slave, and now master wants her. What he wants, he gets. With a smile, she melts my brutal heart. I have never wanted anything more. I need to make a choice. Freedom or Love. I cannot choose wrong.

Tillie Cole Does It Again! 👏👏👏👏👏

Riot is Dark! Intense! Riveting! Suspenseful! Shocking! But will hook the listener from the very first chapter. I was totally mesmerized by the characters and their story.....I loved it.......it's impossible for me to choose a favorite, and I'm soooo sad this series is ending.😢

One thing that really separates Cole's Scarred Souls series apart from other dark romances stories are her hero's. They aren't your typical bad boys, dominant alphas or even sexy billionaires with dark fantasies, these characters have been through hell, lived in hell, survived, and are scarred inside and out. They've either been kidnapped, sold, or betrayed into living an existence where they were forced to fight to the death. They were robbed of their humanity, given a number, and had to comply with their master's wishes or face severe punishment. In this underground world, only the strong survived, there was no room for weakness, or anything the masters could use against the fighters......especially love. Cole really outdid herself with this one! Riot was both brutal, and beautiful, and these characters will stay with me for a long time. I rarely re-listened to audios, but this is another series, I could easily listen too again!

Amelie and Guy delivered an outstanding performance. Riot's dark, with brutal and intense scenes, but they were perfectly narrated. This duo did an excellent job placing the right amount of emphasis on all the different emotions and tones.

Between the amazing story, and great narration, I was glued to my headphones, and if I didn't have to pay bills, I would have listened non-stop. BUT BE WARNED, Riot isn't for the faint of heart, there are triggers and some scenes may be too difficult for some to listen to, but if you like dark romances, then you will want to consider this series. (Best if listened to in order.) Well worth the time, credit or sale!

The End... Say It Isn't So!

From the very first book in this series, I've been addicted - especially to the audio versions with their drop-dead sexy accents that place readers right in the middle of the action. These narrators were perfect for this Russian Bratva series.

There is everything a reader could want in a dark romance... the intrigue, the suspense, the drama, the romance, and at last - the victory! And in this book, readers get the grand finale of victories. It's cheer inducing! You must, must, must listen to this series in order. It's absolutely the only way to get the full effect.

I love this series!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read/Listen Stars!!!!!

You ever read a series that just gets better and better with each book? Wait, first let me ask, "have you read this series yet?" We will get back to the first question in a bit. While each book in this series is considered a standalone, I would recommend reading the others first because there are details about the characters that are in the other books that are paramount to a better understanding all around. Not to mention this series is the bomb.com.
Ok, back to the first question. A series that just blows your mind? Well, this series does that. With each book, Tillie Cole solidified her status on my faves list. I know I've said this before in other reviews on her books but the versatility of her writing is brilliant. She goes from the sweet, NA series Sweet Home that has the Shakespearean theme of Romeo and Juliet feel to it, to the Hangman of Hades series that is wrought with cult life and dregs of the Outlaw MC world to this series where we are immersed in a dark, twisted side of the Russian mob. It just amazes me that she actually writes all of these and, at times, simultaneously.
Now onto my review of this book. My first thought in my notes was "NO!!! This can not be the end for this series." I don't want this series to end. I just love all the characters and how each have overcome the obstacles of their pasts. This series is so easy to get lost in. I did so and this book was no different. I totally was neglectful with my chores. Laundry schmaundry. The dishes will still be in the sink when I'm done, right?
Riot was dark, intense, raw, gritty, gruesome, heart-pounding, heart-wrenching, and so much more. I don't want to go to much into the storyline because that would be a huge disservice to leave spoilers and let me tell ya, they are itching to spew out of me. Like wicked bad. Wow, "wicked" I haven't used that word since we moved from New England over 7 years ago. I digress. I'm rambling now just to keep those spoilers from leaking out. I'm just gonna stop here and say, "This is a Crazy Ass Must Read. The series is a Crazy Ass Must Read."

*I read this and then had to listen because I a good book whore like that. I loved the narrators. They really brought 901 and 152 to life along with Luca and the others as well. The accent changes really helped in bringing this story to life. They were seamless and not distracting at all.

Favorite!

The heroine was my favorite. Anessa went through so much and so did Illyian. I loved their story. I enjoyed the other stories of the previous guys in there, Zaal, Valentin and Luka(my favorite). The cruelty, evil and depravity of Master had me so angry at times. I wished his death was drawn out! lol. Great series, you will not regret reading

an ending I actually loved!!

I usually hate endings to series but I actually loved this! sure it was cheesy, but honestly after what the characters went through in this series they deserved a cheesy ending Haha

the only thing that ever bothered me about these. books were the narrators, while not awful, werent the best and their use of accents or lack their of was confusing.

Meh, too much better out there than this

Well, this wasn't as bad as Raze, but it isn't worthy of all the 4-5 stars that its been gifted with. Not as overly Crass, but still a bit unbelievable. I absolutely will NOT read book 2 & 3. I kinda wish I hadn't read book 1 & 4, but there you go. Nothing special. I've read "It Ain't Me Babe" and liked it, but I'm done with this author. The writing is okay at best, but repetitive. With soooo many good NAR authors out there, I give this a pass. The narrators were ok, but its hard to make this writing sound good, so I can't overly fault the narrators. I'm soooo close to asking for my money back, but feel guilty because I bought 2 books at once. I never do that. It's my fault.

LOOOOVE THIS!

I loved 901's and 152's story, as sad as it is. I swear, 152 and 194 got it the worst out of everyone. Such an epic conclusion to the series too! 🤯

Wow! What an emotional ride!

This series was hard to stomach alot of time, but I was invested emotionally the entire time. No words can really describe how this series will make you feel, you just feel overwhelmed. Sad, happy, sickened, revolted, overjoyed, relieved, pissed... all of the emotions you can feel, they will come out in this series. Definitely one of the best I've read. I will not ever forget these books. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tillie Cole hits another home run

Though the graphic violence is tough to grit through, the story is impressive, raw and a triumph in the battle of good versus evil. I personally flinched at some of the descriptive scenes but the author's determination to have the story reflect the torturous conditions her characters survived and eventually even thrived in, to some degree, was admirable. The narration was amazing and compelling. The overall violence was too much for my personal taste, but I still found this series impressively compelling and well written.
