Publisher's Summary

Anne Shirley has left Redmond College behind to begin a new job and a new chapter of her life away from Green Gables. Now she faces a new challenge: the Pringles. They're known as the royal family of Summerside - and they quickly let Anne know she is not the person they had wanted as principal of Summerside High School. But as she settles into the cozy tower room at Windy Poplars, Anne finds she has great allies in the widows Aunt Kate and Aunt Chatty - and in their irrepressible housekeeper, Rebecca Dew. As Anne learns Summerside's strangest secrets, winning the support of the prickly Pringles becomes only the first of her delicious triumphs.

So. Many. Awful. Narrators.👎🏼

The book is great, but if you could stick to one narrator, it would be a WHOLE LOT BETTER. Like Sinead Dixon. She’s fine. Two narrators is probably my personal MAX LEVEL. Hope you know I’m right.

Amateur Narrators

A very poor quality recording with variations in sound level and genre poor quaintly, amateurish narration that detracted heavily from a wonderful story.

Inconsistent narrator

I really wish you guys would have kept a consistent narrator. I hate to say it, but I hate inconsistency. I would not recommend this book to anyone that hates inconsistency.

Different Narrator Every Chapter

Not only did the narrator change every chapter but so did the sound quality and accents. Some people were a little difficult to understand because of their accents. Some sounded like they were a mile away from the microphone or like they were recording in a tin box. I just canceled Audible the prices keep going up I have to use more than one site to get my books and I felt deceived by the sample narration.

Good value but narration very patchy

Some narrators better than others, some infuriating mispronunciations and one just couldn’t get phrasing right.
Remains my favourite “Anne” book, but I’ll pay more for better narration

Very poor narrator

Very cheap to buy, but total waste of money , l can not listen to the narrator, she keeps pausing, then speaks so so slow. Microphone echoes. I have put stars on for the story, I have not listened to it, I presume it is a good book as I am a big fan of all the Anne books .😣
