Publisher's summary

There’s a thin line between love and hate...and it cuts right through the middle of their office.

Bad boys? They run right over good girls like Georgina Keller. But after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around - least of all the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy number one.

Sebastian Quinn's taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career.

Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top - and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

Because if Sebastian gets her right where he wants her, it means she’s going down.

From USA Today best-selling author Jessica Hawkins comes a witty workplace romance stand-alone.

GREAT STORY.. WONDERFULLY NARRATED

What an enjoyable listen.. Jessica Hawkins has written a delicious tale of enemies-to-lovers office romance and she's filled it with light angst, a sprinkling of humor, heat, hurdles and happily ever afters. The Publisher's Summary pretty much explains the plot.. and it's a lighthearted look at two people who can't help but fall in love with each other despite their circumstances, characters and convictions. Good character growth through discussions and shared revelations, sizzling volatile chemistry, sassy dialogue, interesting secondary characters (including a couple of heartwarming scene with their dogs) and on pointe dual POV narration by Andi and Sebastian who brought the characters, and their heartfelt sweet actions, to life and always guarantee an enjoyable listen.

Worth a credit? Yes I loved it.

5 Stars! Enemies to Lovers Office romance

5 Stars! Enemies to Lovers Office romance with all the elements of an excellent read!
Being an avid reader and HUGE fan of Jessica’s work I definitely thought this one had less angsts than her other books & I believe that was her intent....this gem is a more light hearted office romance that was more sweet and sassy with excellent character development. The two main characters Sebastian and Georgina are both in the midst of an internal evolution of self- dealing with past experiences that has impacted them both and they are each trying to find their way through it.
The banter is witty and fun and the co-stars (their pups Bruno and Opal) really bring a very heartwarming human element to their love story.
The narrators performances are fantastic as always with Sebastian York and Andi Arndt- the all stars of romance books! Without a doubt
you won’t be disappointed with this yummy gummy bear!

Predictable and nothing exciting

Jessica Hawkins is an amazing author. If you’ve only read/listened to this book, don’t let that stop you from her others. This felt like she hired an intern to write it and put her name on it. No depth, no chemistry, no sex. It’s basically a Hallmark Cannel movie in book form.
If you’re a Jessica Hawkins fan, don’t waste your money; you’ll be disappointed.

LOVED THE NARRATORS, THE HEROINE/STORY NOT SO MUCH

I just wasn't able to like the heroine. She ran hot and cold, and I just couldn't get past her being a doormat one second, and a raging b!tch the next.

The story has its ups and downs, but when you can't connect with one of the main characters, it is hard to like the story as a whole.

The narrators were perfect! They are both on my *have to listen to* list. They get 5 STARS!

Once again I find myself in the less-than-stellar-review aisle, but please don't let my personal view prevent you from buying this book. Just because I couldn't connect with the story, it doesn't mean you can't either.

Happy Listen!

Excellent!

Loved this Story. The writing, characters and narration were perfect and made me laugh, get horny and excited throughout the story. Great interaction, sex and caring that had me reading all night long! I am now a huge fan of Jessica Hawkins after this, my first story by her. The voice narration was also excellent. This is the Best of the Best!!! Love, love, love..

Boring

This book is the exact same story as the Mel Gibson movie What Women Want, without the mind reading. It was boring. The dog was the most interesting thing about this book. Completely unoriginal.

Boring story, not much happens, don't waste your time or money. Read Something in the Way instead.

Enemies to Lovers

An Enemies to Lovers romance. It started quickly and with a vengeance and was nonstop for the entire book. I love that. Georgina “George” is the nice girl who is seen as the pushover in life except for her professional life where she is referred to as George. Georgina is sweet, kind and polite and George, while still polite, does not hesitate to put someone in their place if they are wrong. Sebastian is the “bad boy” of the Modern Man magazine who is getting a bad rap. Georgina is hired to re-vamp Sebastian’s team but they don’t know it when they have their first meet cute/meet disaster. This is where all the fireworks begin. The two bump heads while secretly holding on to feelings for each other. I love that Georgina holds two different parts of herself, at work a shark and out of work, she’s just her normal friendly self. Sometimes you have to be a shark in an ocean full of predators. Sebastian, I loved that he was a jerk but really managed to catch his bad tendencies. He’s had a rough life and it’s taking a toll. This was a really good book. The best part were the co-stars or really one main co-star, Bruno the Great Dane. I’m still rooting for him.

I liked this well enough.

New author for me.
Aah! Chapter 1 incited my anymosity for jerk customers. 🤬 This is a slow burn in the way there's not much steam and they're more like competitors than love interests. It seems muted. Their reactions would make more sense if there were more romantic interest descriptions. Then 💥🎆 chapter 21!!! 🔥🥵 I like that Georgina and Sebastian are professional, more or less, and it's not insta-lust jump each other's bones (a nice change).
