What a beginning!!

It was torture waiting to start this series, but Meghan’s books are so good, I can’t take the time in between releases. The third book in this trilogy releases next week, so now is a perfect time to start.

What a great introduction to the world of the Riscoffs and Gables. Lincoln and Whitney are on opposite sides of a multi-generation family feud. And with feuds, there are lots of secrets. Lincoln and Whitney meeting each other was fate. Each struggling with their own family issues and obligations, but in love with one another in spite of their family’s disapproval.

And since this is a trilogy, you know the HEA isn’t happening for a while. Lots of backstory going on here, and I love every second of it.

There’s quite a lot going on in this town, and each character introduced could have their own story. I have a mad crush on Commodore Riscoff, the patriarch of the Dallas-like clan.

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon do a wonderful job w/the narration, and brings vivid life to Meghan’s great storytelling talent. I’ll be starting the next book as soon as I wrap up this review.

Great First in Series

I really enjoyed this first book in the Sin Trilogy. The confusion, conflict, angst and suspense kept me listening from the first word to the last. Very different story from what Meghan usually writes. The back and forth between past and present, makes this story very complex, but gives depth to the characters. The narrators were awesome. Love this first book, even though it was a cliff hanger. Bought the next two audio books immediately.

Erin's performance was great! I really like how she plays the character.
The story is really good, as usual it ends with an cliffhanger! I never saw it coming.
can't wait to start the next one!

Great story

A really good story although I hate to say it Erin Mallon was quite distracting with her 'breathy' delivery. It was so distracting. Breathy does not mean good narration - I have to say I skipped some of her chapters. Now I think I have just about every title Meghan March has published. - Loved the Beneath series, Savage series, Ruthless, etc. I had just finished another author's book that Erin Mallon narrated and she wasn't as breathy (still breathy), but this series she is over the top. Whitney was a bit irritating with the no no no I can't and then does it (got old). Joe Arden is always a really good narrator and always consistent and not over dramatic. He gets 5 stars!

SO GOOD! Get ready for twists and turns!

I completely forgot that I had this series in my library, so imagine my surprise when I came across it while I was rereading/listening to Meghan's books while waiting for her release of the second book in her latest series Black Sheep.
Don't even try to figure this one out, just let her take you along for the ride. While I was listening to the 3rd book I was standing at the sink cutting up watermelon and at one point my mouth literally dropped open. I was grateful no one was in the house with me at the time, otherwise that would have been a little awkward.
I can't wait to read Asa and McKinley's story!!!
