Great book, but pacing is a bit off.

The first half of the book is a slog, I only got through it cuz it was an audiobook and I can listen at 2x speed sometimes even. He spends so much time analyzing Hindu mythology.

But second half of the book is amazing, I really recommend it. This is where you will be exposed to the core deffinitions and histories of Hyperborea, Atlantis, Lemuria and other such mythical white homelands.

He nails whats going on, havent felt a similar feeling while reading a book since Mein Kampf.

It is very much a blackpill to hear that the world is ending and that according to him there is nothing we can do about it but try to save ourselves and maybe a few others that happened to already be clued in as to whats going on. Yes that means even most of our loved ones and our people likely cannot be saved.
But its also tentatively a whitepill, the idea of new begginings after the end, and a revival, a return to the golden primordial age of Gods and purity. The only worrying thing about it is that although he says this has happened many times before already, revival is never actually guaranteed.

Nevertheless whatever the conclusions and how accurate they are it was indeed a fascinating read that I recommend to everyone that is interested in a completely different worldview and history of the world.

A Question of Metaphysics

definitely mixed in his sense of reality Evola develops an interesting Metaphysical Structure that takes a completely sideways view of history religion and society.

Almost everything was great about this book. The only problem was that the chapters were misaligned. You'll see.

A Masterwork

The reasoning that Evola lays out on a wide variety of topics is highly compelling. There are many profound observations that you should hear: excellent commentary on noblesse oblige, increasing atomization as a result of urbanized and mechanized society, a lack of phillia resulting in anarchy, and what to do about it.

An Insightful Book

When understood through the mindset of being-v-becoming, this book really cuts to the heart of the evils of modernity. We live in a demystified world of cogs and mechanics, and the spirit of what is is no longer recognized, only sheer reason and material.

Foolishness

Interesting but nearly useless for doing any good. The core of this is simply old, failed paganism despite numerous mostly accurate criticisms of modern western civilization.

Hard to follow

There are many foreign terms that go untranslated. The narrator is monotone. I couldn’t finish the book.
