Story
Photographer Jo Ellen Hathaway thought she'd escaped the house called Sanctuary long ago. She'd spent her loneliest years there, after the sudden, unexplained disappearance of her mother. Yet the sprawling inn on an island off the Georgia coast continues to haunt her dreams. And now, even more haunting are the pictures someone is sending her: strange close-ups and candids, culminating in the most shocking portrait of all - a photo of her mother - naked, beautiful, and dead.

My name is Cassidy Porter.... My father, Paul Isaac Porter, was convicted 20 years ago for the brutal murder of a dozen innocent girls. Though I was only eight years old at the time, I am aware-every day of my life-that I am his child, his only son. To protect the world from the poison in my veins, I live a quiet life, off the grid, away from humanity. I promised myself, and my mother, not to infect innocent lives with the darkness that swirls within me, waiting to make itself known. It's a promise I would have kept...if Brynn Cadogan hadn't stumbled into my life.

My name is Savannah Miller. My father is the mayor of New York. One day, after my 27th birthday, I was grabbed from behind. A cloth sack was quickly pulled over my head, and I was taken from everything I'd ever known. I was beaten, starved, treated like an animal, and forced to live in a room with no windows. With no sense of time and no dignity left, I finally gave up hope and made a promise to myself to end it all. Unfortunately, it was going to be a slow process.

My name is Sebastian Lindstrom, and I'm the villain of this story. I've decided to lay myself bare. To tell the truth for once in my hollow life, no matter how dark it gets. And I can assure you, it will get so dark that you'll find yourself feeling around the blackened corners of my mind, seeking a door handle that isn't there. Don't mistake this for a confession. I neither seek forgiveness nor would I accept it. My sins are my own. They keep me company. Instead, this is the true tale of how I found her, how I stole her, and how I lost her.

WONDERFUL BEYOND WORDS!!! NEEDS 100 STARS!!!!

By: Emma Scott
Publisher's Summary
James Micheal Whren is brilliant, beautiful, rich, and taken-with his genius for creating music. He's desired by many, yet commits to no one but his muse. Just 28, and at the pinnacle of his career, on the eve of his brother's funeral his father shatters his life, and James is left abandoned in hell with no one real to save him.
His odyssey to freedom takes him beyond the looking glass, to the reflection of friends and lovers. Humbled and alone, James escapes to the Greek island of Corfu. But instead of finding solace there, loneliness almost consumes him.
Until Elisabeth, and her son, Cameron.
Reverb is a love story, a psychological thriller paced with romantic suspense. Spun from The Magus, also about a man who learns to love someone other than himself, and way beyond 50 Shades of Gray, Reverb is told like Crime and Punishment - modern, clean, edgy verging on sharp. Like nothing you've read, guaranteed.

Couldn't make it through
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The writing isn't tight in this book. I found myself very frustrated with the character and the lack of build up to the story. I grew tired of the main character living a pity party. I hope he got himself together and made something positive of his life, but I couldn't hang around to the end to find out.
Has Reverb turned you off from other books in this genre?
I'm not sure what genre this would fall under, so I probably wouldn't judge another book by this one. This particular book is very redundant, and I got very tired of hearing how handsome and Greek god-like James was. Describe a character, build a character, but give them some depth and let the story build them.
What three words best describe Greg Tremblay’s voice?
mellow, calming, tenor
What character would you cut from Reverb?
The main character, James. He wallows way too much in his past, and comes across as whiney, whiney. I liked Elizabeth and Cam, as well as John and Martin, but just couldn't get past James.
Any additional comments?
I wanted to like the book. I tried to like the book, but just couldn't power through it.

If you could sum up Reverb in three words, what would they be?
This was a very excellent book - I thoroughly enjoyed it. The book is extremely skilfully written and the main character was very well-portrayed - he is a deep and complex person - and I was captivated by him from the start. I highly recommend

a powerful read
*Please note this book may contain trigger scenarios for those who have had past trauma.
This was an excellent read. I cried, laughed and prayed with the characters in this book. It is well written and provides an insight to those who have not had to face this level of obsession.
Greg Tremblay does a fantastic job narrating. He gives life to each character that is beyond just words.

DID NOT WANT IT TO END
I could not stop listening to this compelling story. The main character, James, is obsessed with music until unfortunate happenings seemingly take his life, as he knows it, away. "Insanity feeds on justification"~James (handsome, talented, and wealthy) escapes to the Greek island of Corfu to live in solitude. Elizabeth and her young son, Cameron, are also temporarily residing on the same island. This is a beautifully told tale of obsession, love, redemption, and the after effects of loss and brutality that leave permanent scars. The narrator, Greg Tremblay, was magnificent. I enjoyed every minute of this audiobook from the first word to the last. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Enthralling Work of Fiction
A great modern romance novel that transcends its genre. Hard to put down. Cafesin’s writing pulls you irresistibly in to the world of a tortured artist who learns about love outside of his insular world. Tremblay’s narration is easy on the ears and feels authentic for this story’s characters. Without intending I binge listened, and felt quiet satisfied after. Highly recommended.

.
What made the experience of listening to Reverb the most enjoyable?
The narrator, Mr. Tremblay, was able to express so much emotion. He made each character sound more than just reading off of a paper. You really felt their emotions.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Reverb?
When James was able to open up and have a relationship with Elisabeth.
What about Greg Tremblay’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed the emotion that Mr. Tremblay was able to express. Especially when recounting James' time in the hospital.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When James realized that Edward did love him but not in time.
Any additional comments?
Reverb is different then anything that I have listened to lately. I was moved by all of the emotion that was displayed by James. This story was a great example of how sometimes you have to go through the worst to get to the best. Mr. Cafesin wrote a wonderful book. I would recommend this book.

Differnet is good
I like listening to different books as I'm following Greg around the book business. lol I found this to be quite an interesting story, delving into the mind of a creative person which is abused by the system his father shoe horns him into.
It was very interesting to heat that it was somewhat set in the UK with brit accents. Greg did a great job here, and as usual each character was easy enough to identify with and listen to.
I wasn't 100% sold on the story and the writing in particular, it was strange for it to be told in active tense, and I wasn't sure if the whole story was omniscient, or there was just lots of head hopping, much easier to work that out when reading.
But I found James a character I could feel for and relate to, having been inside a psychiatric ward. He was a little self serving at first and I wondered why, because he seemed pretty cool at the start, everyone however treated him just like he was a pretty boy with lots of money. And I thought he might have at least had some flaws, these didn't really show till later on in the story, and I really think everyone needs to give this a chance because of that. What developed as the story moved on was a very good human character tale. James went through so much, and being so damaged takes a long time to come out.
Great story, driven by real and sometimes horrible circumstance. It makes you think, it makes you feel lots of different emotions.
Thank you to both narrator and author and I'll look out for more by both, :)
