Poor narration.

Virtual voice mispronounced so many words, names and abbreviations that it was distracting, hard to follow. "ICU" was pronounced as "ice", "ER" as "err". "Gem" as either "gym" or "gem". Given names were not always pronounced the same way. Tenses of verbs were not consistant, even within a sentence or paragraph. Foreign words such as "croissant" were unrecognizable. At one point I was forced to go to Amazon and read portions of the print version to figure out what was going on. The story itself didn't come to a conclusion, the book is continued in another volume. I was frustrated enough that I will not bother reading the sequel.
