Return to Planet Hera

In Earth’s future, physical contact is discouraged. For those that violate the law, re-education is the answer. Command has experimented with sending deviants to woman led Planet of Hera for punishment. The returning prisoners exhibit hypersexual characteristics and a desire to be subordinate to women. Command worries that this backwards world may be implanting a mental virus to destabilize Command as a prelude to war against Terra.
Captain Jake is given the assignment to infiltrate Planet Hera and determine the source of the virus. Since men are treated as property on this world, he enlists the aid of a female crewmate to act as his owner. Together, Jake and Pam begin to learn Hera’s culture and their place within it. Pam must learn to act as a Mistress while Jake learns what it means to be a slave. Cultures clash as the two must decide which leads to true happiness: Maximization of Choice or Benevolent Obedience. Once Jake discovers whether the virus exists, it may be too late for him to return.
