Publisher's summary

Once the leader of the Sur del Calle cartel, Colombia's largest drug trafficking organization, Pablo Sanchez patiently waits to exact his revenge against Blake Barnett, the FBI agent who killed his twin brother over a decade ago.

After one failed attempt forces Sanchez to flee the United States, he hatches a bold new plan. This time Blake has something to lose: his fiancée, Whitney Steel.

From the neon paradise of Las Vegas to the militant-infected jungles of Bogota, Blake must risk his life and infiltrate the cartel's inner world and eliminate the ruthless drug lord.

The price of failure is higher than ever as he's forced to use the woman he loves as a pawn in a deadly game where the events of the past and present collide.

outstanding novel..

So many books, so little time to read. I read this book in less than a day! It is that good! I was given a book by the author,. I'm a character reader, I get into the characters, their story, who/what they are. The author does a great job of developing the plot quickly & thoroughly. The significant characters in this writing are developed similarly along the way. This book is in all senses of the word, a thriller, beginning with a mysterious murder. That’s it, no more spoilers from me though I can see more about this character in the future. Outstanding read!

Love Whitney

Whitney has been kidnapped and Blake is on the trail, but Blake has his own problems, there is a bounty on his head. If Blake is to get Whitney back he must travel to Columbia's biggest drug trafficker, Pablo Sanchez.

This is another wonderful, kick butt book by Kim Creswell. I love Whitney Steel, she is one tough lady, I want to be her when I grow up. The action and suspense in this sequel to Reflections is so intense you can't stop reading/listening you just have to find out what happens. Rebecca Hansen does a great job making this story her own. I love this series and this book but it is a adult book for sure.

Character Driven Action Start to Finish!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, the story revolves around Whitney the reporter and her boyfriend FBI agent Blake Neely. They are up against a revenge driven drug lord and the large gang he commands. Action abounds!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

As the title of this review suggests, the action begins from the opening few pages when Whitney is kidnapped while finishing an interview on camera outside the courtroom of a big trial. It continues the entire book!

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Hansen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have listened to the previous Whitney Steele audio book "Reflection: A Whitney Steel Novel, Book 1". She has a very clear voice and the talent to bring to life the likeable characters and the not so likeable ones too! To keep the excitement flowing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Tough lady reporter and beau fight an evil, vengeful drug lord

Any additional comments?

I have had the pleasure of listening to Book one in this series also. Both are worthy of my time investment. Likeable characters, feasible plots, well written and good voice performances.

Thanks for the opportunity to listen to and review this Audible book.

Another riveting tale in the life of Whitney!

If you read book 1, you assumed that Whitney's exciting life was slowing down...you'd be WRONG! Whitney is in the middle of a live report, in front of the courthouse, when she is kidnapped...yes, on camera! Turns out that Colombian drug lord, Pablo Sanchez, is still on his vendetta of revenge against Blake, Whitney's fiance`. What better way to get Blake's attention as well as to get him to 'visit' Colombia, than to kidnap Whit? Should be a simple gig, right? Well, if it was anyone else, then yes, but this is Whitney...my newest superhero! There were 3 kidnappers...then there was only one, courtesy of Whitney's bad@$$ Taikwando moves!! Meanwhile Blake is scrambling to locate Whitney...and a few times he was this close! I could go on but that would mean spoilers! Bad guys, guns, bombs, bodies...all in a day or so in the lives of Whitney and Blake. We eventually get an HEA...sort of...wink wink. Great narration! Narrator did a fabulous job with the many characters in the book! Now on to book 3!

I can't do it, narrator is horrible

I'm not even 10 min in to this book and I want to wreck my truck. The narrator is so monotone it's like reading a congressional transportation bill. The story has the potential to be a good book that has been done a 100 times. I say save your credit and pass on this book or read it yourself, I'm finishing the book but man it's hard listening to this one.
