Minimally effective

This is a brief limited and at times superficial book and not for serious planning for retirement. Comments about trading stocks as a means of investing is alarming and will be met with guaranteed disaster for 95% or greater of those naive enough to buy into this philosophy.

Helpful Book!!!

One of the best things about the book is its specificity and concrete examples. Maybe The best discussion of health insurance options for early retirees I have ever run across. Excellent book!

Good, but a little bit US centric

Interesting, but not too useful or innovative for people that leave outside the US. Anyway, it has some good tips

Good book - if you live in the USA

I struggled to rate this book. It’s not bad but it’s very focused on the American market.

If you live in the USA then go ahead and try this book, if you don’t then it has limited value. There are generic tips on retirement planning but a good half of the book is USA specific. If you’re American and want to know about your 401K, or Medicare, or where to retire that’s US friendly then there’s information here. If you’re not then there is some general advice on planning but it’s really limited to choosing the right mix of investments for your pension fund and making sure you start to plan for your retirement early.
