Abby has just walked away from a terrible relationship that should have ended years ago. What better way to celebrate than having her cousin take her to watch a bunch of firemen be auctioned off to horny housewives? A good read..

I really enjoyed the story. I know that since I didn’t skim over one page. It was a cute love story with a nice couple, Lane and Abby, that fell in love over a period of a few weeks, when she moved to the town from which her cousin, Jenna, bought Abby a date at a firemens auction.

I liked all the other players in the book, Iian, Allison, Angie, Walter and Jenna. There was a little problem with Lane’s ex-girlfriend but that really didn’t last long. The OMG moment came with the plane crash and the swim through the freezing lake then the run through the flames of the fire that the plane caused.

There was some sexual attraction and 2 or 3 nicely written sex scenes. There was small swear words but that was all.

As to the narrator: He has a nice reading voice but he is without emotion. He didn't laugh or whisper or shout or anything else the book called for, and his women’s voices were a little too masculine. I would listen to him again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find more books he’s narrated.

good book, narration a bit monotone

The story itself is cute with some exciting moments. The romance is kind of typical- meet cute at an auction and instant attraction, leading to a relationship. I liked both characters; Lane and Abbey were really good together.

The narration was really monotone. I listened to it at 1.0x and I have to admit that that was WAY too slow but I doubt that even at faster speeds, his reading would have more modulation. It just felt like he was reading the story, not playing the roles. He did a good job with the differentiation between the male and female voices, however.

not worth the money, rushed story with no detail

this could have been a good book if the author put in alittle more time to develop the story line.
