Publisher's summary

Coy Mason is a jerk.

If there is one truth that Bellamy Davenport knows, it’s that. Well, that, and the fact she didn’t mean to hurt him. Physically. Coy can’t be hurt emotionally because he doesn’t have a heart.

Coy is not just the small-town, literal boy next door. He’s a heartbreaking, womanizing, mischief-making (and delicious) man and was all of those things well before he became a hot-shot country music sensation.

He’s a dream standing in her doorway with no shirt, messy hair, and a “Do you wanna"? grin. But he’s also a nightmare for her heart, and she knows it.

Their enemies-to-lovers relationship always ends the same way - heavy on the enemies, light on the lovers.

So, why is she still standing there?

Author's Note: Reputation is a stand-alone novel with heat and heart. No cliff-hanger.

5 beautiful stars.

I love reading books by this author, they always make me want to have a family like the ones in her stories. Of course, the families aren’t perfect because no family is ever perfect but the goods outweigh the bad. This Mayson family is a ball of energy, fun, laughter, togetherness and so much love. This book is an amazing enemies to lovers, it’s chuck full of fun, banter and sexiness. Read Reputation book lovers, so worth your time.

Audio

The voice for Coy is older and wrong for a singer in his 20s.
The story and characters are great. I love this series beginning with the Landry Family thru the Masons.

Coy and Bells!

So, one thing I know is true anytime I pick up an Adriana Locke book is that I know she will deliver! I loved Tor Thom's voice in this book who played Coy and Kai Kennicot has been the heroine in many of Adriana's books and she was excellent as Bellamy! This book made me laugh, cry and swoon! I love enemies to lovers and this one is perfect. You see Coy's development in this to win his girl and it is just chefs kiss! And Bellamy's development in this story is just so sweet. Couldn't recommend it more!

Love the Mason family series

I love Adriana Locke's family-based series, and so far, the Mason Family is living up to my high expectations. Coy and Bellamy's nextdoor neighbors, enemies-to-lovers romance was simply perfect.

Coy is cocky and self-assured, but he is also a loving, genuine guy with a kind soul and big heart. Bellamy doesn't stand a chance, frankly. She's been through enough heartbreak, though, and the last thing she needs is another dose thanks to coy.

Once Coy and Bellamy figure out why he rankles her ire, the hate and loathing was transformed into simply sizzling chemistry and raw emotions. Through in witty dialogue and banter for days, and the hijinks of the extended Mason clan, and Reputation delivers on the romance, emotion and humor.

The audio, narrated by Kai Kennicott and Thor Tom, as well-delivered and a treat to listen to.

Easy & Emotional Listen

Overall:
Great emotional enjoyable listen with seamless narration.

The Performance:
The narrators did a great job. I pay attention to not only their ability to show emotion while reading their parts but how well they portray other characters when needed. In addition, the timing was on between them so I didn't find myself having to change listening speed depending upon who was reading. It was very smooth and enjoyable.

The Story:
“Coy Mason is a jerk.” No truer words and yet false all at the same time. I love characters that are a bit of a contradiction in that what they say and what goes on in their heads are polar opposite. This is true for both Coy and Bellamy but in different ways and I have different reactions to both.
With Coy what comes out of his mouth makes me want to throat punch and call him a man child that never grew up past pulling a girls hair in the sandbox that he likes. Where what goes on in his head makes me want to hug him and husband him up as soon as possible. I will say, and I feel that this is important, is that when he is driving Bells, Bellamy crazy his comments are not truly malicious even if 100% annoying. It also helps that Bellamy can hold her own against him. Unfortunately, when she brings out her claws to get back at him she is hurting herself just as much as she is hurting him. I might feel a bit of empathy for Coy, but Bells situation is heartbreaking. These two fight each other because they want and honestly need each other so much and neither of them know how to deal with their feelings. The chemistry is steamy, the banter on point, and the emotions thick.
This audible moves quickly. I didn’t find the back and forth too much or get to that point where I just wanted them to get it together. I think it unfolded organically and again quickly. It never stalled or took too long for either of them to get to where they needed or to reach the HEA I was looking for. The one note I have for anyone diving into this story is a bit of a sensitivity / trigger warning. Readers who might be impacted by a sick parent specifically a Dad and specifically fighting terminal cancer this is your warning. Its an important part of this story and small and big all at the same time but some of the side effects both physically and emotionally that a person deals with when going through chemo are detailed in a way that might hit harder and deeper than you would expect going into an enemies to lovers romance.
I loved it. Not only are the characters dynamic but so are the emotions this story elicits. I went from anger to crying to being hot and bothered the next moment. I also enjoy the family dynamic. No one does brothers and families the way Adriana Locke does them. It is why this author is one of my favorites!

3.5 stars rouned uo

I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. The narration was just okay. I liked the female narrator but I did not particularly care for the male narrator. I knowo that a lot of people enjoy his work but he is just not my cup of tea. I think I would have enjoyed this better if I read the book rather than listened to it. the story overall was good.

Boy vs Girl Love Vs Hate

Boy Vs Girl Hate vs Love. Coy and Bellamy are friends to enemies? Lovers? You won’t know until you read. This book was a washing machine on all my feels. I will never be able to look at a bowl of chicken noodle soup without carrots again and not have a hiccup moment. Adriana Locke has the talent to make you laugh and cry within moments of each other, she can make you feel so angry at moments but always makes sure to bring you back to a happy place.Or try to anyway. LoL. “ Life is for taking risks and winning and losing and learning” And you will do all of those things by reading her stories. Kai Kennicott and Tor Thom did an amazing job!!!

Great enemies to lovers story!

I haven't read the first book in this series (which I will be rectifying soon), but one does not need to read book 1 to read Reputation. Coy Mason and Bellamy Davenport were next door neighbors and childhood best friends. He went on to become a country music star. She moved back home to care for her father as he battled cancer. The animosity between the two in the roughly first half of the book was palpable. There was miscommunication and assumptions. But one thing was clear, the deep-seated feelings for each other never went away.

Coy was cocky, but not arrogant. He didn't let hs fame get the best of his personality. When he and Bellamy finally had their "Come to Jesus", put it all on the table talk, it was a pivotal moment in their relationship but still left Bellamy unsure. When Coy finally realized just what he needed to do, oh my gosh! When he goes all out, he really goes ALL OUT! The changes he made allowed him to have the best of both worlds with Bellamy a part of it. What a great HEA!

Kai Kennicott and Tor Thom were the perfect Bellamy and Coy! The banter, the tension, and the emotions all came through so realistically. I first read this book in digital form when it came out. I enjoyed it even more listening to the audio with Kai and Tor.

I received an advance copy of the ebook and a complimentary copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.
