I know she’s off-limits, and I’m no home-wrecker, but my feelings for her are impossible to ignore.

Quick dark sapphic book

The narrator for this did a phenomenal job switching her tone of voice between the two FMCs. I enjoyed the romance especially because it wasn’t your typical one. The characters were unique with one having ptsd and a prosthetic. Katy starts out as your typical abused wife who just tries to keep the peace and constantly forgives her husband for her verbal and physical abuse, but Nora helps her to see that she is worth more than that and deserves to lead a happy life.

Left me wanting more!

This dark and twisted story checks so many trigger boxes! Please read the authors warning before proceeding. That being said the story was fast paced and kept me anxious the entire way through. The narrator captures each of the characters and portrays them in a way that enhanced my own mental pictures as I listed to the story. I loved how the broken pieces of the main characters helped heal each other and brought out the best in each other. I look forward to more from the author and the narrator.

Paige Reisenfeld is one of my favorite narrators

Two women who show the many different sides of strength and who strengthen each other as they become the others' strongest supporter and fall for each other.

The life struggles and emotions that DJ writes about are raw and real, and Paige Reisenfeld narrates with such realism with all the characters being relatable.

I fell in love with these women for their sensitivity, kindness, openness, reliability, and strength, all of which Paige narrates with perfect skill.

Triggers: PTSD, violence against a main character not by the love interest: domestic violence, including physical abuse, mental abuse, and sexual assault

Wow

So this is DARK please read the TW. The story was amazing I do wish I had more of the ending (the HEA) but you do get a build and conclusion so you aren’t left hanging. If you enjoy Sapphic romances and dark romances this is for you

Dark, deeply emotional, beautiful novella

I am obsessed with DJ Krimmer’s Hel’s Ink series, so I’m making a point of reading/listening to her other works.
This novella was a perfect story for me to listen to while working around the house. The depth of emotion and detail was beautifully written, especially for a novella. I never felt like the story was lacking in detail or character development, DJ’s writing is always wonderful!
Paige did a stellar performance, as she always does! Her shift between character voices was expertly done and her ability to convey emotions in her narration makes Paige a favorite narrator to listeners.
*Always check those trigger warnings!* This story has a lot of dark themes with on and off page situations that may be hard for many listeners.

Just wow

The narrator was fantastic. This story was so heartbreaking beautiful. The struggle that was over come ugghh. I would love to see or rather hear more. KUDOs DJ!
