Publisher's summary

Featuring Lieutenant Eve Dallas, Remember When blends present-day romance and futuristic suspense in a thrilling two-part novel that combines the incomparable talents of two #1 New York Times bestselling authors: Nora Roberts and her alter ego J. D. Robb.

Antiques dealer Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. At least, that's what everyone in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, the daughter of a notorious con man...

Laine's past catches up with her when one of Big Jack's associates turns up in her shop with a cryptic warning and is then run down in the street. Now the next target of a ruthless killer, Laine teams up with sexy PI Max Gannon to find out who's chasing her, and why. The answer lies in a hidden fortune that will change not only Laine's life, but also the lives of future generations - including New York City detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas.

In a future where crime meets cutting-edge technology, Eve is used to traveling in the shadowy corners outside the law. She will attempt to track down the treasure Laine and Max sought once and for all - and stop the danger and death that has surrounded it for decades...

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

If you've read or listened to Big Jack don't buy!

I've purchased every In Death book audible has available. I love Susan Ericksen as Eve Dallas. As much as I like the books I would not purchase this one unless you have not listened to Big Jack. If you have read or listened to Big Jack that's all part 2 is. Part 1 is a decent story in itself. It's just the prequel to Big Jack and has nothing to do with Eve and the rest of the gang. So, I've now purchased the same story twice.

Interesting Duo

Remember When is actually two separate stories, one in current time about a diamond hiest and a second story in which Eve Dallas is involved. The second story is related to the first story. A former reviewer said to read this book prior to number 17 due to Summerset, the butler's, return. However, I STRONGLY advise you to read this book after number 17 because of the Peabody story arc. If you read this one prior to number 17 it spoils the surprise. I enjoyed the Eve Dallas part better than the first part. Another great story by JD Robb!

Incorrect number

This should really be numbered as 16.5 as the In-Death part of the two books actually occurs before 17 in terms of the progression of the relationship and overall story of Roark and Dallas. Summerset, the butler, is still on vacation, whereas in 17 he returns. So if you listen to it as 17.5, and after 17 as indicated, you will hear that Summerset hasn't returned from vacation yet, even though he returned in 17.

Remember When

I always like Nora Roberts but this book is so boring. Very disappointed. I down loaded it for vacation I'll remember the vacation but not this book.

Hooked on In Death

Would you consider the audio edition of Remember When (includes 'Big Jack': In Death, Book 17.5) to be better than the print version?

I don't buy print version books anymore. It saves me room.

Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to the first 22 books and to me each one is unique and equally good.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was laughing out loud-- glad I was alone!

Any additional comments?

I'm absolutely hooked on the series. Love them all!

not bad for a romance

Listenable and kept me interested. Certainly not up for an Audie, but it kept me around while I was doing other things. Of course, you have to like the whole romantic mystery genre to put up with it. Not a waste of $15.

Great story from beginning to end!

I really can’t say enough about the book.
Even though this was written by two different authors, the switching of timelines & the continuity was seamless. And the voice performance was excellent! Susan Ericksen help me to enjoy this so much more! The voice of each character was distinct & left no doubt as to who was speaking. I look forward to hearing Susan perform again and to reading more books by these authors!

Always love Nora/JD !

I read the books when they were first published and since I always enjoy Susan Erickson's performance, thought I would give them a listen. I would h ave to say neither was really up to the high standard typically found in Nora Roberts novels or JD Robb's IN Death series, but it was enjoyable never-the-less.
