Publisher's summary

Throughout his research into memory theory, Nelson Dellis found existing memory improvement guides to be wanting - overcomplicated, dry, and stodgy. So he decided to create a book that is approachable and fun, centered on what people actually need to remember. In Remember It!, Dellis teaches us how to make the most of our memory, using his competition-winning techniques.

Presenting the information in a user-friendly way, Dellis offers bite-size chapters, addressing things we wish we could remember but often forget: names, grocery lists, phone numbers, where you left your keys - you name it! This fast-paced, highly illustrated tour of the inner workings of the brain makes improving your memory simple and fun.

Great concepts to help memory

Great concepts to apply to help your memory. I will use some of them, but playing card and long number memorization is not for me. It’s like an “ aha moment” to link images and items remember names and lists of things. I enjoyed this book and will recommend it to others.

Nelson Dellis delivers

Nelson has put together an impressive book. His See, Link, Go method is applied in many different memory skills that he provides. This book is great if you want to remember names and faces, phone numbers, passwords, dates in history, and even playing cards.

My one complaint with the book is that it is spoon fed to you. Every technique comes along with around 5 examples so be prepared to go through a lot of made up memory palaces. It’s a little hard to listen to “imagine that so and so is doing X with a Y” a million times, but it’s all worth it because the book is full of Gold.

I’d probably recommend getting the physical book. I like the ease of audio, but I felt like I missed out on the cool illustrations, and I would have liked to skip around.

Excellent! Best memory book thus far.

Combine Moonwalking with Einstein and this book and you are solid to both understand where money techniques vibe from and how to use them in your daily life. I think this book by Nelson Dellis is the best yet or there. The techniques he gives you have day to day applications, which you could also use to take your memory training to the next level. Absolutely recommended for those seeking to improve memory.

Got slow down a bit

Loved the content but the reader needs to slow down a bit in sections for me to comprehend (imagine) what is developing! Also he needs to add a bit of dead time when switching up ideas. Not sure how it was written up in the book but the latter transitions to other techniques felt like a run on sentence to me and I would have liked a large pause to reset myself for the next idea.

Helpful details

Found the narration a bit quirky. Content was solid and helpful, not too vague and immediately applicable.

I can do it too

"Remember It" is written to provide practical advice on improving personal memory. A healthy brain and memory is certainly likely to improve my life overall; no more (maybe just reduced amount of times) forgetting what I'm going to do as soon as I leave the room.
