Publisher's summary

Best-selling author Jerry Brides (The Pursuit of Holiness, The Discipline of Grace, The Bookends of the Christian Life, and many other books) asks perhaps the most fundamental question of existence: "Who am I?" He then turns to scripture to unpack for the Christian eight clear, interlocking, illuminating answers:

  • I am a creature
  • I am in Christ
  • I am justified
  • I am an adopted son of God
  • I am a new creation
  • I am a saint
  • I am a servant of Jesus Christ
  • I am not yet perfect

A direct, honest presentation of biblical truth and all-new material from Jerry Bridges, Who Am I? demonstrates for believers that they can and should rightfully claim for themselves an unshakeable, lifelong, personal foundation of confidence in one thing and one thing alone: the gospel of a victorious, resurrected Savior.

E This was a wonderful book about finding myself in Christ

I love this small book on knowing myself through Jesus Christ, and finding my identity in him

Excellent Quick Summary of Christian Faiths

Phenomenal. Another gift from God from a man of great faith who walked this earth to show us the way. A great book for beginner and experienced Christian alike. Great job by Alistar Begg the narrator!

A heading is required.

Alistair Begg's voice is like a warm tea. Hearing him speak the words of Truth with such ease and quiet confidence rounds out this book for me. The concept is straightforward yet heavy, and listening to this content brought retention at a level I otherwise wouldn't have been able to enjoy. A wonderful choice of narrator for a wonderful little book! This one is making its way to my annual rotation.

Freedom

Identity theft is real. Jesus said that the thief comes to kill steel and destroy but I have come that you have life to the full (John 10:10). This book sheds light on what God did to free you from sin and give you a new heart, new Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:17), new identity.

In an age where Identity has become politic…

This book is a must read for the Christian. Both as an introduction for those who may not fully grasp who they are In Christ, but also as a reminder and encouragement for the believers who have walked with Christ.

Great learning tool. I was able to use some of the examples in a counseling session, they were very helpful.
