Publisher's summary

Dr. R.C. Sproul has often asked unbelievers who deny their need for a Savior, "What do you do with your guilt?" The question often breaks through sinful complacency, because feelings of guilt over sin are common. Unbelievers may ignore their sense of guilt, rationalize it, or desensitize it, but it is there. It points to the fact that all people are objectively guilty before God. So what must we do with our guilt? In this Crucial Questions audiobook, Dr. Sproul shows how God can use our feelings of guilt to reveal our true guilt in His sight. He then prescribes the only remedy - the forgiveness that God has provided through Jesus Christ. Here is solid biblical counsel for those who hear the accusations of their consciences.

A Good Biblical Discussion on Guilt

This is an interesting read about the nature of guilt and how the Christian faith teaches us to respond. Dr. R. C. Sproul is a gifted teacher and respected theologian and I always appreciate his thoughts.

In this book he discusses the nature and reality of guilt according to the Bible and our experience. He also discusses how people usually handle guilt, including being under-guilty, over-guilty, and different ways people try to resolve their guilt. Finally he talks about how the Bible teaches us to deal with guilt.

I personally especially appreciated that last section where he distinguishes healthy and unhealthy types of guilt and shows how personal and emotional freedom from guilt comes through the full forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ.

A pleasantly comforting reminder

This is such a simplistic book made all the more powerful because of its biblical truth. Very nice to have this reminder that those who confess are forgiven.
