Eye-opening
There is a spiritual battle. Gear up folks. Still wrestling with whether our hearts are truly good. Need to discern flesh vs new heart vs natural heart and I believe the distinction needs to be made at nearly EVERY speaking so that unbelievers DO NOT believe their unregenerated are good!!

Great book overall and I enjoyed how John connected situations in the Bible to so many situations in famous books and movies. Great connections. I just didnt like that many parts were skipped over from the book so at times it was hard to pick back up when I was also using the book.

it's a life changing book. I highly recommend it.
I love the way J.Eldredge provokes your thoughts in his writing so that anyone in whatever level of educational, cultural, or spiritual understanding can get this message. Since I've read his book, I've been following his journey videos. Watching was Absolutely life changing with the reality of their experiences with his team and how they compare behavior with our believes and actions. It definitely enlighten my own life and motivated me to make changes in my perspective of life as it currently stands and that of my future as God promises. it's been a life transformation through awareness of the battlefield I am sorrounded in, knowing my choices matter, seeking healing, using my God giving gifts, believing what God promises, and more than anything how much God cares for me.
