Publisher's summary

Are you bombarded with emotions such as fear, anger, or regret that dominate your day? The good news is you can learn how to have better reactions which will lead to better relationships.

Lysa knows what it’s like to become emotionally unglued but she’s also learned that the Bible provides a pathway to help us process and manage our emotions. This companion devotional to the best-selling book Unglued provides extra encouragement as listeners learn how to handle their emotional struggles.

Each devotion includes:

  • A daily opening scripture
  • Thought for the day

God gave us emotions to experience life, not destroy it. Today, embrace how you were made and find peace with yourself and others.

Great book!

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook of devotionals and it made me laugh sometimes. It helped me to notice some of my mistakes and it reminded me that it's better to be righteous than to be loud with my emotions in the moment.

Exactly What My Soul Needed

This has been such an Amazing Devotional Book. It has opened my mind to the simple ways of dealing with...well with life.

My spirit has become more calm, my outlook on situations more clear and my way of dealing with different “unglued” moments more thought through.

I have noticed I don’t just “React” to things throughout my daily walk in this world but rather I “Rethink” the way I SHOULD handle it all.
Example:
1.) How I Handle life with God, when I don’t understand everything and I ask WHY?? I search the scripture, I get in my “Fix It/Survival” Book that The Lord has given us for moments like that.
2.) I handle life with my husband with openness, clarity and realism instead of vomiting words when we have disagreements or we don’t see exactly the same. We’re not suppose to; even though we are ONE through Spiritual “WHOLEiness” we are still very different with different views on things in life. We just have to make sure our different piece of life’s puzzle (that are not shaped the same-hence being able to fit them together) go with the same puzzle. We both strive for a good outcome and our desires and intentions are the same; it’s just really looking at the BIG picture in front of us and knowing we ARE ONE and are not against each other but are meant to work with together doing different functions to bring about the same outcome in life. (That’s like an autoimmune disease of the body, it fights against itself. It makes it harder for the other parts of the body to work to bring about the same outcome and puts a strain on itself. It’s not meant to fight against itself but work together with itself to promote a “Healthy” life!)
3.) I handle life with my kids with Spiritual utterance and decrement from the Lord (Not ALL the time but more now than before). I have learned to take a LONG, DEEP, Renewing breath before I speak and again, I reach for my “Fit It/Survival” Book (The Bible).
4.) I handle life at work with a mindset that I have 2 Boss’s; 1. The Lord Jesus Christ and 2. My Earthly Boss.
-1st I don’t go against what God’s will is. If it goes against the will of God, I go to Him and ask Him to fix it/give me the knowledge to fix it myself and I witness for Him when He opens that door of opportunity.
-2nd I respect My Boss completely. I work for her like I work for Jesus; With my Entire Heart and Total Respect of her position. I give All of myself by making sure I do my job the BEST of my abilities. When taking care of my patients as a Nurse, I make sure I am Open to their Feelings, Understanding, Patient, Kind, Loving, Helpful, Nurturing, Giving, Receptive (on a Godly level! I am mindful of evil spirits that will feed off of you inabilities, fear and soft spirit).

Thank You so Much Lysa for these books, for your obedience to God, for being translucent in your life and the life of your family, and for your Love for The Father/Abba Father(Our Daddy). You only live an hour from me and have helped me more than those that live 5 minutes down the road, through written words touched by God! Again, Thank You!

Never fails

I am a big Lysa TerKeurst fan and so happy she narrated this herself. It was delivered perfectly and was uplifting on days you expect it the least!
