I enjoyed it

I have many books people would never put in their homes. this is a history and instruction on things not everyone will find as "normal" I do not see why someone gave it a two star rating. its well written and narrated. maybe its above someone peoples intelligence level to understand or they are hoping to be able to do the stuff in the book on a first time basis. well to do and understand these things takes years of dedication ! give it a listen if your into this stuff. if not stay away from it,,, far away!

Well Written

Would you listen to The Witches' Book of the Dead again? Why?

It is very informative and well written.

What other book might you compare The Witches' Book of the Dead to and why?

I haven't found any other books that would compare to this one. The information is very educational

What does John Allen Nelson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is wonderful to listen too.

If you could give The Witches' Book of the Dead a new subtitle, what would it be?

Education for Learning the Art of Communication with the Dead

Any additional comments?

This book brought me to joining the audio book group.

Enjoyed and appreciated

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the narration of this story immensely. John Allen Nelson was able to draw me in as a listener and did not jar me out of the experience at any point.
I also appreciated the mixture of historical research and personal experience that Day brought to the book.
Well worth the time I spent listening.

LoL..

It was an interesting listen. Just to get a little understanding of how reality is viewed by some is entertaining all by itself. Christian writes this book in (all most) a case study format. Pulling in some history as well as (supposedly) applicable chants and directions adding his own personal experiences to the mix. But still... I would think that people as a whole would finally pull away from old school ritualistic ignorance and evolve to new levels. Learning from the Dead? Please... It's not that I am a non-believer, it's just that I know of better ways to get the same results. I would post here but I am tired of people taking my words and twisting them around. If you are just looking for and idea of how people that dabble in this type of primitive ritualistic ideology think, this is a very interesting read. If you are actually looking for usable sustenance, you really need to start looking inside yourself. Once you begin to realize you are the energy inside, you will start to feel your relationship to the energy outside yourself. Once that happens, life will begin to lead you to your answers.

Good Luck.

...Robert

Intriguing but .....

I will admit that I did not listen to the entire book. There is a lofty, opinionated , "witchier than thou" tone to it that rubbed me the wrong way. This is the first work on the subject that has such a "this the the only correct/pure path" air to it. Form your own opinion. I enjoy studying different paths even if I don't follow them, but this is the first time I have encountered such a clear message of "this is the only TRUE way." That is what drove me away from mainstream organised religion in the first place.
