Such a Shame

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It is in my opinion a crime against humanity that an unabridged version of this spiritual classic is not available. This unabridged version should bring shame and disgrace upon the name of the publisher for generations to come. The work is so cut and shortened that the reader/listener looses the meat of the tale and the worth of the parable, in this author's humble opinion. Please James, bring us an unabridged version of this audiobook

Big disappointment

What would have made The Tenth Insight better?

If it had been like the other insights. Audio quality was poor and story line was unclear and did not track for me. There was no performance to speak of it appeared to have been recorded on the spot with little or no for thought. Very unlike the unabridged versions of the other books by Redfield.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The full version of the book recorded with some regard to the audio quality. I first listened to the 11th and 12th insights which I liked enough to buy the 10th. If I had done it the other way around, I would have misjudged Redfield's work and missed out on some excellent insights.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of James Redfield?

Anyone as long as the audio quality is good.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Tenth Insight?

all of it then go back to a simple production of an unabridged reading of the actual book.

Any additional comments?

I've said too much now. This product detracts from James Redfield's work.

The Tenth Insight

The Quality of this recording is very poor, and the content is like listenning to a short radio interview about the book. This is a complete waste of time and needs it be fixed. it should not be called a "concise guide" but the "Author can't be bothered guide".
I was very suprised after the great job Lou Diamond Phillips had presented with the Celestine Book.

Very Poor Quality Recording

What would have made The Tenth Insight better?

I doubt that it's the download, but this book sounds horrible. The tinny quality reverberates and echoes. Just awful. This is EXTREMELY abridged.

Very disappointing

This book was disappointing on two fronts. First, after thoroughly enjoying The Celestine Prophecy, this book was short and not much of a story at all. It did not hold my interest. Also, the audio quality was very poor making the narrator (the author) difficult to understand. I double-checked the audio format, but that was the same (4) as all of my other downloads. I'd skip this one.

This is NOT the Tenth Insight (2nd of the series).

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

First, is not what I thought I was buying. Like the headline said, this is NOT the Tenth Insight 2nd book in the Celestine Prophecy series. I have the real Tenth Insight story on cassette. This is not it. It is the authors commentary on the story. Second, the recording sounds like he made it in his bathroom with a 1970s cassette recorder.

What didn’t you like about James Redfield’s performance?

The recording is so poor, that it is barely understandable. What you can hear is monotone and sleep inducing.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I couldn't even finish listening to it. The poor recording quality gave me a headache.

Any additional comments?

Please change the description so that people know this is not the story but a commentary on the book.

Good story, bad recording

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The subject is very good, I think this is an excellent book. The recording was not as good, the quality of the recording is bad.

How could the performance have been better?

It will be good if Audible re-record this book keeping the good standards like other audiobooks.

Was The Tenth Insight worth the listening time?

Yes, excellent

Sound quality is poor.

The sound is distorted. The information is great even tho it’s only 2 chapters. This would’ve been nice final chapter of the first book. Not a book on its own. My 2 pennies.

Terrible quality.

The recording of this audio book sounded like the author recorded it in his basement. The quality was so bad that it distracted the listener from the message that was being relayed. I wish I could have my credit on Audible refunded.
