Good Retelling and Narration

This is my second time reading this great religious epic of India. Several years ago, I read Krishna Dharma's version, but I like this version by Egenes & Reddy better. The language is contemporary, yet lyrical, and the narrative is highly readable, yet maintains the profundity of its allegorical and spiritual meanings.

Gupta has a rich and melodious voice, although it can be monotonous at times. She could be more emotive, and create more distinction between different character's voices. But overall, I liked her narration.

An excellent epic spoiled by worst narrator

Ramayana is an epic. It's one of the most wonderful simple epics that one can read. And one can listen to.
Sadly, the narrator here is toneless, without inflection and robotic.
There is no emotion or understanding of the story. It's as if the narrator was bored to death reading it and is trying to bore us to to death with her narration.
Worse narration. Avoid this narrator.

Ramayana by Deepti Gupta is the best!

I rarely listen to audiobooks. Ramayana was the first and also one and only audiobook that i finished listening. Deepti’s narrating fits so perfectly with the story, she made the whole story so beautiful and made it become alive. Her narrating was so clear, magical and poetic! It was my first audiobook on Audible, and I fell in luck love with it immediately. I even looked more about Deepti because I was so amazed by her narrating. I wish she can narrate for Mahabharat too! Ramayana has taught me a lot about Dharma and devotion, and I am really grateful for Deepti narrated it. THANK YOU for having such a beautiful audiobook. I will keep it forever!
