Publisher's Summary

Why is it that so many people start out with a clear mental picture of where they want to be relationally, financially, and professionally and yet years later find themselves far from their desired destination? Why do our expectations about our own future often go unmet? What if you knew the answer to those questions? What if there was one simple idea that explained why so many people get lost along the way? There is.

It's called the principle of the path. And not only does it explain the disappointment and regret that characterize the lives of so many, but it also provides a way for you to be the exception. As you are about to discover, the principle of the path is at work in your life every single day. Once embraced, this compelling principle will empower you to identify and follow the path that leads to your desired destination. And this same principle will enable you to avoid life-wasting detours along the way.

Excellent Book

If you are looking for a practical, no-nonsense, Christian perspective to getting your life on the right track???this is an excellent read/listen. I???ve heard Andy Stanly many times (via podcast) and although the author does not read it, the narrator does a good job in keeping similar nuances. Very few non-fiction books have captured my attention to listen multiple times; I am on my 3rd time through this book.

Great Practical Success Book For Christians

This book is a great practical success book for Christians. I like Pastor Stanley's statement that it's your direction, not your intention, that determines your destination. It's not what you want to do or plan to do - it's the little habits you indulge in every day - that will eventually lead you to your final destination. Great truth that will set you free to achieve the best in your life.

One of the best ever ...

Any additional comments?

This book is one of the best books that I have ever read. It covers one of the most important themes (or principles) in life. It illustrates the crucial principle of the path vivdly with well-told personal stories. The book is a critically important key to changing anyone's life - that is, change in any aspect of life. It is not primarily a christian book, a religous book, and definitely not one of those self-help self-improvement guides. It accurately and objectively introduces the principle of the path and shows how it affects everything in life, such as gravity affecting everything on planet earth. Whether you like it or nor, and whether you know about the priciple of the path or not, it always applies like gravity would whether you know about it not. Its an excellent must-read (or must-listen). I intend to read it annually from now on. I recommend it highly!

The Principle of the Path

Every 18 year old, even mature 16 - 17 year old person and older should read this book. The teachings in this book change your overall thinking about everything. The fact that the path you choose leads to where it leads no matter what you think about it, where you come from or who you are is so needed today. That path; financial path, parenting path, spiritual path or any other way (path) you choose leads to where it leads to is a principle. Really, and Mr. Stanley says it a few times, this principle is obvious but I can't think of a better time to remind us of this fact.

Must read!!!

This is a very practical look at how to get where we want to be in life. In a world full of things competing for our attention, some good and some bad, we must stay true to the few things that keep us heading toward our preferred future and away from the things that will keep us from arriving there. Good read!
