Perhaps not adaptable to audiobook format

Disappointing. Lots of jargon and a bit pretentious.

The Power of Now

This is a truly wonderful book. The format, however does not allow listening by chapter or any other small segments, making it a very unweildy 7.5 hours of listening.

Stop and Feel

This is an excellent book that allows you to open your mind and realize your potential. I have began practicing some of the things in the book and I have improved myself and the relationships that I have with friends, family, and the world in general. Fiat Lux!

Doubted. Bought. Glad.

1. As written in other comments, I agree his voice takes a bit of getting used to, but I soon found that his delivery style was not monotonous but actually complemented the material being delivered. He doesn't stress words and have inflection like other narrators but that fact lets you interpret a sentence in different ways. He doesn't tell you what to think. His delivery lets me concentrate on what is being said without distraction. And I like his slight accent, it's sexy.

2. Troubled by negative inner critical voices? This book might be for you. It works for me in that regard. What a relief!

not a book to taken lightly

this book is not just another self-help instructional, but a life lesson. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is seeking an alternative to westeren concecepts of religion, sex or moral taboos that we are all mired in. It may take more than one listen to the audiobook for the message to sink in, but it is worth the money and the time.

Better to Listen

This is one that is better to listen to than to read -- makes the material far more accessible. This is more the layman's version of "Spectrum of Consciousness" by Ken Wilber and I think more readily applicable to live.

Underwhelming

About the best I can say is that this was a good book to fall asleep with...Eckhart Tolle's voice is perfect for lulling one into sleep.

I don't regret listening, but would not bother listening to anything else by the same author. To paraphrase Dorothy Parker, "There is just not enough there...there." This is not enough of a new take on life (either generally or -- as the title suggests -- living in the moment) to offer illumination or guidance.

Delightful and Transformative

Eckhart Tolle writes and speaks with such simple clarity that I find myself laughing at all the intensive 'searching' I have allowed myself to partake in all these many years. Every paragraph contains an 'Ah-Ha' moment. His voice awakens that sleeping part of me and I find myself immersed in the joy of being. He is delightful and transformative in his delivery, and I believe the perfect gift for that 'seeker' in your life.
