Publisher's summary

New discoveries in archaeology and recent best sellers and movies, such as The Da Vinci Code and The Passion of the Christ, have sparked renewed interest in the many questions that have remained unanswered about Christianity and other religions. At the heart of these controversies is Jesus. With a unique perspective only Sylvia Browne could bring, The Mystical Life of Jesus is filled with the details of Jesus' inspiring life.

Addressing his birth, childhood, travels, ministry, miracles, crucifixion, death, and resurrection, she addresses all of the major questions:

  • Was there a virgin birth?
  • Was there a Star of Bethlehem?
  • What did he do for the first 30 years of his life?
  • Was he married?
  • Was he divine?
  • Was it a miracle at Cana (and who was getting married)?
  • Is there a Jesus lineage?

Using her unique relationship with her spirit guide and her years of studying the controversial Gnostic texts, Sylvia answers all of these questions with a confidence and authority only someone who has visited the afterlife can have.

    A Must Read!

Just loved this book! I think this in really one of Syliva's very best books! Even if the listener doesn't accept some or all of what she has written, it may be enough to make some readers want to do some research themselves. For me, the book makes a lot of sense to what I had already read in the Bible. I feel there is alot of truth in what Sylvia has written about. If anything, it can open up some interesting discussions with the reader and to help people find their own spiritual paths. Thanks Sylvia!

    Don't say you weren't warned

A narcissistic self portrait of someone who claims to have had her psychic powers confirmed beyond doubt by numerous scientists. That would make her the first of many thousands who have made the same claim and were unable to verify their purported abilities. Her talents also extend to keeping such a miraculous event out of the mainstream media. I suspect she can also bend spoons.

    Same old Sylvia Browne

Against my better judgement I bought this Sylvia Browne book. The problem I have had with Sylvia is, although she supposedly have knowledge and answers to many of the many questions that we ponder, she never writes about them until others bring them to the forefront of our consciousness. Why didn't she reveal all these "secrets" about Jesus until after questions about his life became the latest buzz. Same thing with past life regression therapy, Stonehenge, etc. Then there is no real revelation in the book or none with any credible evidence or even any strong argument. Just a weak attempt at analyzing the New Testament. There is also the first problem I found with Sylvia the first time I read one of her books - her extreme narcissism - she is a legend in her own mind. Nothing revealing here. You will be disappointed.

    My favorite of them all!

What did you love best about The Mystical Life of Jesus?

How many answers Sylvia has that most religious leaders can't seem to answer.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mary....she's gotten such a bad wrap for thousands of years because of jealousy and men's attitudes towards woman in that day...and it hasn't changed much until recently.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Finding out what went on in the years from 12-30 in Christ's life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The crucifiction

    Any additional comments?

If you have had guilt for years from the church as I have, Sylvia brings hope, love and joy and none of the fear, guilt and hatred about God.

A wonderful new perspective on Jesus

What made the experience of listening to The Mystical Life of Jesus the most enjoyable?

Sylvia Browne provides a new and surprisingly convincing perspective on the life of Jesus and his teachings. While I was studying religion at college, there were several stories about Jesus and his life, as told by the New Testament, that did not ring true to me. Therefore, I was inclined to dismiss the claim that Jesus ever existed. Browne's account of his life, however, rings true and she provides a down to earth and much more believable account of his life. She also emphasizes the most important elements of Jesus' message, which have sadly been forgotten by many Christians today. A good and interesting listen you shouldn't miss!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely.

    wonderful

This book was great I have to say that this is what I was looking for. In answer's or questions that I could not understand, this book open up my eyes to what I find is the true meaning of Jesus life. and I would recommend it to anyone. I also would like to say I would love it Sylvia if you would read your own book's. Because I understand them more when I hear you read them to us. Instead of some one eles reading the book. I did not care to much for the narrater, that reads your books. Something about her voice I did not care for. I still highly recommend the book even though,I don't care for the narrater voice. Thanks so much Robbie

Listen with an open mind. Very thought provoking.

Backed by great research and resources, Sylvia Browne provides a great and plausible scenario. She tells you the story but gives you enough information to do your own research and insists you do just that, research it yourself.

    I highly recommend.

    Sylvia please read

I loved the content of this book and will certainly continue purchasing and listening and/or reading Sylvia's books. However, I had a difficult time making it all the way through this one due to the narrator. Sylvia, please narrate your own books. Part of the message is lost when someone else narrates them. Also, I really did not care for the narrator's voice.
