I've listened to The Life You Always Wanted over and over, and each time it's like I'm just hearing it for the first time.
John Ortberg is a rare thinker because he has the ability to put to words your innermost thoughts and struggles.

Rereading this book and recommending to everyone I know. One of my favorites on practicing Spiritual Disciplines! The audio book is delightful; one of the best narrations I’ve heard. I wish Jay could narrate every book on Amazon.

Down-to-earth, spiritual teachings for everyday people to become more deeply rooted in God. Just an AWESOME book. Soul-stretching stuff!

Excellent
Although the cultural references are dated, the principles are timeless. I like to read this book every few years as a tune-up in my spiritual disciplines. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a deeper relationship with God and therefore a more satisfying life.
