The version was created to eliminate any errors in previous translations, and to put the book into common language useful for all people. The book was translated from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. The version was re-edited in 1769 and has remained largely untouched for the centuries after.

Well narrated
If you feel the need to listen to the scriptures in various circumstances, this version is well narrated and has a good cadence. I did slow the speed to 95% to allow a brief respite to reflect on the scriptures at times.
