Publisher's Summary

The stories, poetry, and music of The Bible come alive as never before in this 60-minute performance based on award-winning British actor Rob Lacey's book, The Word on the Street. Inspired by his Book of the Year award in the UK and based on his live performances, Lacey retells Bible stories as mini-blockbusters, psalms as song lyrics, epistles as e-mails, and Revelation as virtual reality.

Critic Reviews

"[Lacey's] is a blunt and sometimes gritty retelling of the Bible, which he performs splendidly. A skilled storyteller, he is energetic and expressive. The musical interludes, songs, and accompaniment are a fine complement to the story." (AudioFile)

Manga for the Ears

A great review of the whole of the bible from Genesis to Revelation, and very entertaining.
Shows a good understanding of the matter.
I found the Revelation particularly good.
