The King James Version was written in 1611 by order of King James I as the official translation for the Church of England. The version was created to eliminate any errors in previous translations, and to put the book into common language useful for all people. The book was translated from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. The version was re-edited in 1769 and has remained largely untouched for the centuries after.

Christopher Glyn did a spectacular job of capturing the tone and vibe of the Bible in particular the King James Bible of course. I will reread it over and over again. I will recommend it.

Happy I was able to listen instead of read.
I thought the narrator was well-spoken and I enjoyed the pace. Although I did not understand many parts of the Bible as most people do not, I did enjoy it. One thing that could have been left out was the music that they inserted during the times speaking of Jesus. The music was a little distracting. I prefer to listen to the words only.

The Bible in 6 months.
I am reading my Bible through in 6 months with the help of Audible. I regret not writing down one paragraph that was missed. I didn't feel that the paragraph would be able to be reinserted. otherwise I am thoughly enjoying the process. I have even gone beyond my scheduled chapters. I am using the authorized King James edition and listening while reading has helped me to pronounce many names and cities correctly. It's wonderful. I'm sure I will have read my Bible Twice before the Year's end. Thank you.

What did you love best about The Complete King James Version Audio Bible?
It has been said that one can read the bible again and again and always find something new. While this is true, I found strength in the vocalization of verses and biblical accountings of things I knew and things I did not know. I believe that the King James Holy Bible should be a part of everyone's library. The narrator, Christopher Glyn, has a narrating voice that pulls the listener into biblical times. If you open your heart, mind and imagination, he causes you to believe you are there during the times when God spoke to man and when Jesus walked the earth. His voice is crisp, clear and dynamic. I think he was an excellent choice for narrator.
What other book might you compare The Complete King James Version Audio Bible to and why?
There is no other book that can be compared to the King James Version of the Holy Bible. I say this because even the bible itself tells you that "...no man should add to or take away from this word." Some have tried, and some people follow those teachings. But this version was the first and the only true Word of God.
Which character – as performed by Christopher Glyn – was your favorite?
God himself.

For anyone who is a believer: make the time to listen to this audio version of the bible. It is good reinforcement for everything that you have read in the bible. This version brings the bible to life for those who have not read it. For those who have, you may find that your heart has a tendency to get excited at certain points that are close to your own heart.
