Publisher's summary

When a local psychic reduces Chicago's popular, down-to-earth sportscaster Tim Weigel to tears, his daughter Jenniffer questions her own spiritual beliefs. Stay Tuned is Jenniffer's story of a father and daughter's journey from materialistic journalists to spiritually attuned spiritual beings - a journey that continues even after his death.

During his illness, while Tim turns to alternative treatments like chi gong and reiki sessions, Jenniffer reads Neale Donald Walsch, starts a spiritual diet plan, and uses the law of attraction to find free parking spaces. The book takes you on a witty, irreverent trip through popular spiritual beliefs and insights of masters and celebrities, including Don Miguel Ruiz, James Van Praagh, and Russell Crowe, as this intelligent, award-winning broadcaster transforms from "cynical daughter" to "spiritual woman".

Just read the book instead

I got through most of this story but admittedly could not finish because the narration was so pitchy. The author’s normal voice is somewhat quiet and low which I struggled to hear at times but when she does the dialogue she’s literally screaming. Extremely hard on the ears! Also, I found her constant talking about her lavish lifestyle as a reporter uninteresting. I picked this story for the spiritual angle, not to read about a privileged princess. It takes too long to get into the content about mediums/the afterlife.

What a great read

I really enjoyed this book it hit home, kind of eerily so. I am from Chicago, my dad was a sports fanatic and complete personality match from yours and also died of brain cancer when I was 18. it opened up my heart and made me feel things I've held in for a long time. thank you.

close to home

I wasn't expecting to find this story to be so similar to my own and therefore very relatable and touching. I lost my father to brain cancer and I too am fascinated by spirit and mediums. I found the book very informative and comforting. When it ended I was not prepared and felt it wasn't ready to end. that was my only qualm.

Great and very personal

I love how the author gets so personal about her experiences with mediums. Her sense of humor adds so much humanity to this subject that’s normally dominated by stoic tendencies. Very good read for anyone curious on the subject of mediums, psychics and spirituality applied to a real person.

Surprisingly great

I got this out of the plus catalogue today, because I was a little curious, and I am from Chicago, like the author. It’s wonderful. Ms. Weigel is funny, honest and writes well. I have my own experiences with after death communication & I believe it’s true. But that’s not my point- Ms. Weigel tells her story in her own unique way, and I’m so pleased that she’s shared it with us. I was completely charmed, shed a few tears, and will check out her other books.
