Christian sex advise, but he doesn't hold back

The advise given in this book is useful for married people at all levels. I'm not a Christian, but looked past that part of the book and found it still helpful, however this is a big part of his message. The narrator was easy to listen to. This would be a perfect book for a newly married Christian couple.

More for women than men...

I seriously struggled to finish this book. at one point I really thought about seeing if I could get my money back. if you have had premarital sex just skip the chapter 5 unless you really enjoy being paraded for it. there is some good information in there mostly for women. man if you're not already doing some of the things that he covers in here for men you need to take a long look in the mirror. most of this stuff is pretty obvious. overall I would give this book a C at best.

Great for all pre-married and married couples

We have been married for almost 6 years. Great marriage with flashes of great sex life. Most of the first 6 years has been mediocre at best in the bedroom. We each have listened to it separately and have some real and tangible things to work on. I would recommend to anyone, it is a good refresher course!

Part of Toxic Purity Culture

Another, more helpful book I have, has labeled this book as “harmful” and I believe it! I quit reading halfway through.
My friend sent it two me. 2 stars because it helped her and her husband: two “clueless virgins.” This author writes to that audience. If you and/or your S.O. aren’t, you would think there is no hope for you. If you listen to authors like him, you will have to deal with jealousy of your S.O’s past and shame about yours. That is the worst mindset going into sex and marriage! My helpful book has shown data that Christian women are more likely to have pain during sex. Clearly, it’s part mental. If we supposedly have better relationships with God, who created sex to be wonderful and good, then what is wrong with us? I would say these kinds of Christian resources.
Back to my friend: when she was 40 and I was 30, she suggested I pray that God would give me a husband that was a virgin. It was unrealistic, unhelpful, and the kind of mentality one gets when this is one’s favorite sex book. Ladies, find a man who loves and takes care of you and serves God.

Worst book I’ve ever read

This book is gross. I would give it zero starts if I could. Yes, there are a few nuggets of wisdom but overall the author is demeaning to women and even to the point of saying “honey I have news for you it’s not going to happen” when explaining that women should not expect to orgasm every sexual encounter. This book focuses on male pleasure. It places the sole responsibility of the man's “faithfulness” on the women’s ability to “please” her husband. The author assumes all women have low sex drives and all men “only think about sex, hunting, and sports”.there is zero grace for sexual brokenness that could have resulted from past abuse, addictions, etc. even calling Christians who have re devoted their sexuality’s to Christ as “recycled virgins”.... like recycled trash. He told a story about a woman rewarding her husband for his faithfulness with extra sex. I’m sorry but that’s the EXPECTATION in marriage, faithfulness. He goes to the point to say that withholding yourself from your husband is “selfish”. I agree that if you’re using sex to manipulate your husband that’s unexpectable But, if you are going through something and don’t want to have sex at the moment that is NOT selfish. There are so many terrible even physiologically harmful points in this book for women I have no idea how this book has 4.5 stars. I don’t think it’s biblically sound. It bashes women and is oblivious to the variety of sexual desires amounts women.

Exceeded expectations!!

Would you listen to Sheet Music again? Why?

The book exceeded my expectation by providing great details of what to expect with sex within the marriage and provided great detail on how to keep things hot sexually and intimately in the marriage. I was looking for a good sexual education book and this book provided that an more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are no characters in the book

What does Ron Turner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voice kept me intrigued.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

I would definitely recommend this book for both married couples and engaged couples who have decided to abstain from sex before marriage.
