Very relaxing

I have an anxiety disorder and for some reason this audio always calms my mind. I don't know if it's Deepak's voice or the actual words. Perhaps it's just he concentration on the story. It's very metaphorical and interesting. I highly recommend this audiobook. I have one other title by Dr. Chopra which is pretty good but I like this one the most.

Excellent for the Psyche & soul

Deepak Chopra has a soothing voice with a heavy accent, but when I just stopped trying to remember the passages and just listened this measure of healing versus and sound did what Chopra said it would do; bring me a calming less fearful and fulfilling empowerment to be who I am because there is true peace in realizing this...

Just listen don't think understanding is within you....

What made the experience of listening to Sacred Verses, Healing Sounds, Volumes I and II the most enjoyable?

Dr Chopra does an excellent job of reading the Gita, the Indian Music was perfect and added grace this wonderful reading.

The Test of Time

What did you love best about Sacred Verses, Healing Sounds, Volumes I and II?

I have been listening to this program since, I believe 1995 or 1996. In fact, I think the first version was in cassette form. Eventually, I downloaded its CD version onto my computer and continued listening well into the 2000's. Unfortunately, one day it disappeared. I was thrilled to find in on audible. It is truly an amazing piece of work and it fantastic at dealing with the ebb and flow of being. AWESOME and I never tire of listening to it, as I continue my inner journey!

His voice; the content, the delivery, the segments of the Bhagavad Gita that he extracts and the healing sounds, chants and music that accompany him are perfectly blended to create a wonderful experience.

Very meaningful and eloquent I love the way Mr Chopra singled out the verses of the texts and worded them so well

Give it a chance...

On first listen, I wasn't sure what to make of this because it is definitely different.
After a while I started to really get into the narration of the Gita and the music behind it. I've lost count of how many times I've went back and re-listened to this because of the beauty of the blend of words and music.
My only complaint is that it is too short, I wish that he would have done all 18 chapters.
