Publisher's Summary

Take the next step. From radical followers of Christ to radical communities of faith.

In Radical, David Platt's plea for Christians to take back their faith from the American Dream resonated with readers everywhere and quickly became a New York Times best seller. Now in Radical Together, the author broadens his call, challenging us to unite around a gospel-centered vision.

How, he asks, might such a vision reshape our priorities as the body of Christ? How might well-intentioned Christians actually prevent Gods people from accomplishing Gods purpose? And, how can we best unleash the people of God in the church to carry out the purpose of God in the world?

How, he asks, might such a vision reshape our priorities as the body of Christ? How might well-intentioned Christians actually prevent Gods people from accomplishing Gods purpose? And, how can we best unleash the people of God in the church to carry out the purpose of God in the world?

Writing to everyone who desires to make an impact for Gods glory - whether you are an involved member, a leader, or a pastor. Dr. Platt shares six foundational ideas that fuel radical obedience among Christians in the church. With compelling Bible teaching and inspiring stories from around the world, he will help you apply the revolutionary claims and commands of Christ in fresh, practical ways to your community of faith.

WOW What a message!!

David has won my heart. Although another reviewer said that the audio was no good, I would have to say that I did not find this to be true. I have just listened to this book and found it wonderfully refreshing. In days where peoples' personal wealth is exploding and the other side of the earth millions are dying it is spectacular to see how much one church can make a difference in this world. David not only spoke on the subject of giving, he led his megachurch to follow him down that path as they slashed budgets in his church and gave the money to overseas missions.

I am reminded of Jesus who put his life out front for people to follow. Jesus was a leader in every sense of the word and so is David in his actions and that of his church. I wish there was more to the book

Radical Together helps define purpose, get unstuck

Want to live life on purpose? Radical Together is a biblical approach to understanding why you are here and getting "unstuck" in your current day-to-day existence as a Christian. David Platt brings a simple no-nonsense delivery of what it means to live out the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 by spreading the Gospel to "the ends of the earth" and living out your purpose a disciple of Jesus Christ!

You are here for a reason, and I am hoping that by listening to this book it will help unleash YOU for the glory of God. In addition to the main chapters (1-6), I would also recommend going through the discussion guide (chapters 7-14) with a group.

You have an opportunity to pause and reflect on what the biblical truth of the Gospel is as presented by David Platt in Radical Together; seize the opportunity by listening today!

Radical Together-Very Inspiring and Spot On!

I have only read the first chapter of Radical, the prequel to this book, but since I have had more time to listen than to sit and read, I chose to read them out of order, having received the second book free on Audible. I love the book. I love the authors philosophy when it comes to how we should be doing church. We are so off base in the respect of what a successful church looks like in today's culture, and the reminder from David Platt that we need to be more focused on reaching the whole world with the Gospel than on creating a comfy couch atmosphere to enjoy "Christianity" together is right on time. My husband and I have just planted a church. I think the book only could have been a better experience if the author had read it himself, the reader was dry and bland, it subtracted from the content a bit. When hearing such important passionate things, it would serve the author (and the reader) better if you could hear the emotion and passion in the voice of the reader.

So encouraging

Just really drives home how important it is for each one of us to be reaching people with the gospel, and how God will be with us in this.

And I loved how it incorporates testimonials and feedback Platt received from the first Radical book. Good practical advice for how this plays out in people's lives.

I liked the narrator too, very passionate. Maybe unnecessary to use a higher pitched voice when quoting women... but it didn't distract me either.

Overall, very good, and great reminder to put first things first.
