After eight years of youth ministry and four years planting a church, I was done. It was over. A lethal combination of overwork, misplaced identity, and a stress-induced sense of panic took me out. Our marriage, once a vibrant ministry partnership, began to wobble. We struggled, we fought, and eventually we settled for a child-centric relationship that lacked passion and purpose. But God gave us another chance. We are now experiencing the reality of a marriage on mission. This is our story.
I loved how both authors read the book. I loved their true honest emotions about thecstruggles of marriage. I will Recommend the book to my friends.
Would you consider the audio edition of Marriage on Mission to be better than the print version?
I liked hearing the authors read the book in their own words - made it feel more real to me. Since this book is primarily the story of their ministry burnout, marriage struggles, and path to healing and partnership I liked hearing it better than reading it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Have you listened to any of Tom Blaylock and Sandi Blaylock ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Any additional comments?
Practical, honest, helpful and hopeful.
