    "so far so good"

This is a very exciting listen with a wonderful cast of actors. The only problem is there is a lot of background noise, ie; rushing water, birds, animals, etc... which makes it a little difficult to focus on the words.

    "Glorious"

This phenomenal spoken word version of the Bible brings new meaning to the Good Word of the Lord, even for people that have read it before. The professional actors, the music, the background noises - it all adds up to a real "experience." This is not to be missed. They even manage to make the genealogies sound interesting with drums, use of voice, etc.

"Love drama, but disappointed in lack of bookmarks"

I love the drama of this recording, but I was very disappointed that it is not divided into parts by the books. If I had known this I would have though twice about using credits for this and would have bought each book separately or at least only the books I was interested.

"No verses No chapters No Books"

I have no clue what verse, chapters or books I'm in. this is on going reading with no book marks. If you want to read Genesis, Exodus or Levitcus, there's no way to found them. No titles to any books on this audio. I don't have I tunes so I can't change the parts. Nineteen parts with no titles. BIG miss!

    "Not What I expected"

    1. Could not see anywhere on Audible's website what version of the Bible this was done in. Very disappointed in the translation.

    2. Would be helpful if the audio bible was broke down in books (not parts), etc. so it would be easier to select a certain book you wanted to listen too.

    3. Also this particular audio book shows Angela Bassett as the main narrator. However, the main narration was done by a male - not a female.

    4. I found the voice for Moses dull and very irritating.

    5. Some the background music grated on my nerves (especially the high-pitched strings)

    6. I find it extremely interesting that the group who put this audiobook together used various voices (including female!) for David in the book of Psalms.

If it wasn't for all the aforementioned I might would have given this four stars for overall.

    "I'm just saying..."
What made the experience of listening to Inspired By...The Bible Experience the most enjoyable?

I accomplished my Goal and renewed my Faith! The journey I embarked on with this narrative was the experience....I believe God wants all of us to take, which is why this was allowed to be...and a phenomenal success!

What other book might you compare Inspired By...The Bible Experience to and why?

I can not compare this book to no other, but if you would like to continue your journey with narratives, I would suggest TD Jake's Destiny, Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, Priscilla Shirer's Fervent, or for a lite and funny read, check out the author Pat G'Orge-Walker.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listened to other narratives, I love Christian Fiction, but by far this was an Amazing performance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I had an extreme reaction to this book, it made me laugh, cry and I even experienced a little anger, which quickly faded and was replaced with unspeakable JOY!

    Any additional comments?

Awesome! I love it...everytime I had to press pause, I couldn't wait to get back to it; kepted me engaged. If you ever had a goal to read the entire Bible this a wonderful way to do it. This compilation is a great companion for long trips/rides. It also made great Christmas gifts....What better gift, than to share the Word of God!

This was my first time listening to the whole Old Testament and I couldn't get enough. It was crafted well and made excellently. I've listen to about 5 hours though out a whole day.

    "Amazing Production"

The Inspired By Bible Experience is probably the most significant and important work ever committed to audio. This is no mere audio bible but an epic 65 hour drama: a product worthy of Hollywood. I cannot praise this work too highly. The cast are all African-Americans including the cream of the acting fraternity. I don't normally like American audio due to the all too common Texan drawl however these voices are superb. I'm waiting for Audible to release the New Testament which is already available in the shops at an exhorbitant price. The greatest audio production ever. Buy a TNIV XL 'hardcopy' and read along.

    "Good But Could Be Fantastic"

    Hi folks,

Well the product needs no introduction. It's the word of God after all.

I have been listening to this consitently and love the change in character voices rather than one monotonous voice all the way through. There is however a lot of background noises for effect like running water or crowds murmuring as the characters speak. This was really distracting at first as I couldn't concentrate on the actual word but after half an hour or so I got used to it and could filter it out.

My biggest gripe, and it really is a shame cause there has been a lot of work been put into this, is the chapters and books are not separated on the audio. In other words if you wanted to skip tracks to Chapter 12 in Genesis from Chapter 1, you can't simply select the next track to 2, 3, 4, 5..... and so on. Instead it's a laborious task of searching using fast forward which is not practical.

However, if your intention is to simply listen to the audio systematically and not use it for study purposes then i can highly recommend it. If like me you are studying and want to hear specific books or chapters then it's really not properly set up for this. There is a way around it involving taking the audio and splitting it up manually but this takes me around 90mins per book and with 66 books that's a lot of time investment.

Hope this helps anyone considering the purchase.

    God Bless

    Michael

    "Good but also disappointed"

I loved the narration but wish the whole book was divided into books of the bible instead of chapters, i.e chapter 1, chapter 2 etc. This makes it difficult to find the book of the bible you want to hear!

    "Epic!"

I've never read through the Bible myself so taking the opportunity to listen while commuting I found to be an ideal solution.

The performance was great with appropriate music and sound FX to create atmosphere throughout.

I'd really recommend this to anyone who's never managed to sit down and read the Old Testament themselves and to anyone else who's looking to have it read to them and have new aspects of familiar passages revealed to them in the context they were written.
