Publisher's Summary

Going Public With Your Faith: Becoming a Spiritual Influence at Work flies in the face of almost everything you've ever read or heard about evangelism. Forget mechanical, aggressive styles of witnessing that treat evangelism as a one-time event. Real evangelism is a process. It's organic: a lot more like farming than selling.

In every part of the world, people are looking for spiritual answers and resources as never before. But you don't need to travel to some exotic foreign mission field to find hungry hearts. You spend hours every day in the most strategic place of impact in the world: your workplace.

Going Public With Your Faith offers a proven model for evangelism that respects the unique relationships you have with your coworkers, clients, or customers. It shows how you can be authentic instead of artificial when sharing what you believe, build trust with even the most skeptical person, and cultivate caring connections with those who have not yet come to a saving faith in Christ.

If you've ever wanted your life to count for the kingdom, Going Public with Your Faith will show you how your God-given gifts and talents can easily and naturally draw customers, clients, and coworkers to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Well thought out message

These two authors "read" the text in a way that is conversational. Drawbacks to their narrative, however, are a few obviously scripted emotional moments: alarm, surprise, profound insight, etc.. The narrative is enriched by additional audio inserpts of recorded conversations with other people; these are brief and unscripted comments that add to the authenticity of having a conversational faith. These authors go public with their own faith in this recording and have very practical observations about sharing faith, especially in workplaces. I found these authors careful to avoid creating a one-size-fits-all "model" or "step system" for faith sharing. Also, these Christians emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit to transform the "pre-Christian" rather than assume that salvation comes by expert evangelists. The message I heard was that we all can go public with our faith with God's grace that will forever alter ourselves, our workplaces, and even- God be praised- folks who have yet lived in the assurance of Jesus Christ.

The Best Marketplace Evangelism Book I've Read!

Where does Going Public With Your Faith rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the first book that I've purchased and listened to via audible.com. I will be evaluating other books that I order in the future including another book that I recently ordered and am just starting to listen to.

What did you like best about this story?

Their book expresses, in a very compelling way, many of the things that I've believes for years but could quite articulate. Most of all, it helped to alleviate feelings of guilt and failure that were associated with an ineffective approach to evangelism that I employed.

What does William Carr Peel and Walt Larimore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked the their presentation format in which the reading alternated between them and gave the book a forum type of feel.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. My preference was to listen to it in segments because of the dept of material that I want to absorb.

Any additional comments?

Because of the fact that I don't always have the time to sit down a read all of the books that I desire and need to, it is very likely that I will stat to purchase more audio books that at can listen to at my convenience.

Great read

This is an excellent course in how to provide the gospel. The authors give their years of experience of gospel and why it hasn't been working. With that they tell us how to better serve the Lord in spreading the gospel.
