This story is true. The names of some individuals have been changed to protect their identities. Kevin Cross's life story involves all the trappings of greed, betrayal, and the quest for happiness. People are all desperately grasping for something better as they travel through life. We buy the next big thing, or look to religion, celebrity, or sex to find some kind of satisfaction. Just when we think we’ve gotten hold of something and tighten our grip, it invariably slips through our fingers.
This book is labeled "true crime" but is really a long story that tries to convert you to Christianity. The publisher's review omits this from the description. The first half of the book it interesting but I discarded the second half when he starts his sermonizing.
I certainly respect these people's beliefs but I think the book title and description are deceptive.
