Publisher's summary

Druidry and Wicca are the two great streams of Western Pagan tradition. Both traditions are experiencing a renaissance all over the world, as more and more people seek a spirituality rooted in a love of nature and the land. Increasingly, listeners are combining the ideas of both traditions to craft their own spiritual practice. In this down-to-earth, inspiring guide, Philip Carr-Gomm offers a name for this Path that draws on the common beliefs and practices of Wicca and Druidry: DruidCraft.

DruidCraft draws on the traditions of scholarship, storytelling, magical craft and seasonal celebration of both the Craft and Druidry to offer inspiration, teachings, rituals, and magical techniques that can help you access your innate powers of creativity, intuition and healing.

Only the Mentally Ill curse, really?

I turned the book off after the statement that "only the foolish and mentally ill use intention to hurt people". Not only does this disparage a group that, by and large, don't curse anyone. But it is horribly fluffy bunny. I've noticed a frightening trend recently of the so-called wise jumping on the "blame the mentally ill" bandwagon. I've never bought anything from Philip Carr-Gromm before, and if this is the nature of his good intention, I won't do it again.

Loved it!

Really enjoyed the way the information was presented in a story-telling way. I listened to it twice back to back. It will be an audiobook that I will revisit.

Absolutely wonderful stories valuable information!

This book provides answers and guidance above and beyond the average seekers mission. Along with its wonderful stories and insightful information I bed down for several listens. I ended up buying the book and read to my grandchildren now and honor having it on my bookshelf.

Very bad narration!

The male voice is fine but the female voice is so annoying that I almost quit listening many times.

Lovely sermon on Druidcraft's tenets and practices

I bought the Druidcraft tarot deck awhile back because of the beautiful artwork and found that the book accompanying it was thoughtful and rich. So, I was thrilled to learn there was an audiobook about Druidcraft, narrated by PCG and his family. I was not disappointed. I found the narration lovely to listen to and the way that the listener is threaded through lore and magical practice was done in a very engaging way.

I really enjoyed the ritual examples and meditation and the fact that this book does not treat the reader as a beginner student, rather it guides you through deeper understanding of the melding of history and spiritual practice in a way that is beautiful to experience. I loved the music and narrative elements very much and wish it was longer. There should be more books like this for those of us who are no longer satisfied by rudimentary witchcraft 101 books and who would like to have more thoughtful material to ponder in our pagan practice.

Excellent

What did you love best about Druidcraft?

It had many points of view on the differences and similarities of Wicca and Celtic Paganism. While also teaching strictly about following the Druid path.

What did you like best about this story?

The philosophy and the lessons about the Gods and Goddesses of the House Tuatha

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the point where they discussed the Selkie

Any additional comments?

This was overall a nice approach to modern practice in a chaotic fast paced world with old world philosophy.

this is not a good source

although this book has very many truths in it you can see by the beginning that it is written by someone who does not understand history well enough to actively depict the religion properly and make some false claims along the way

Good introductory book

Well presented, enjoyed the multiple reader style used for the stories within the book. This is a good introduction to Druidic Wicca.
