Publisher's Summary

Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence, and God would provide clear, understandable answers? It happened to Neale Donald Walsch. Conversations with God is Walsch's account of his direct conversations with God, beginning in 1992 while Walsch was immersed in a period of deep depression. He composed a letter to God in which he vented his frustrations, and much to his surprise, even shock, God answered him.

Focusing on the universal truths that influence all life, Conversations with God offers a picture of the way life could be better. The dialogue challenges us to push past the imagined boundaries of what we believe ourselves capable of and look instead to all that we can attain as cocreators with God.

Neale Donald Walsch lives with his wife, Nancy, in southern Oregon. Together they have formed ReCreation, a nonprofit foundation for personal growth and spiritual understanding with the goal of giving people back to themselves. Walsch lectures and hosts workshops throughout the country to support and spread the messages contained in Conversations with God.

Award-winning actor Edward Asner is best known for the television series Lou Grant. Ellen Burstyn's film roles have established her as one of the greatest modern actresses.

Dangerous drivel and fantasy

This is probably the worst book I have read. It basically is a tool to make a perosn 100 percent irresponsible. There is no right or wrong. Everything is perfect. Suffering and poverty is fine. Please.

Use of female and male voices

Use of both female and male voices for god, sometimes switching in mid-sentence makes the overall performance less appealing.

Contradictions

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes I would. Because it was very highly rated so I determined to know why.

Would you ever listen to anything by Neale Donald Walsch again?

I don't think so.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The switching of the male and female voice were novel to me. It was well done.

Did Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 1, Volume 1 inspire you to do anything?

No God in the conversion lost his God credibility when he contradicted himself.

Any additional comments?

Nice thoughts.Would have been better had the attempt to not be so 'god like' authoritative not been there. This is purely an imaginative work. Not a divine encounter as made out to be.

Perfect story line just. Only issue was gods voice changes without warning halfway through. Firstclass
