Publisher's summary

You can experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit...every day!

"Are you filled with the Holy Spirit?"

Sadly, there has been much division surrounding this one question. Many believe that the Holy Spirit in-dwells a person at the moment of their conversion. Others contest that baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate experience altogether.

Apostolic leader, theologian, and healing minister Randy Clark shares about how this controversial and often misunderstood experience can be accessible to all Christians - including you!

Through engaging, practical teaching and powerful testimonies, you will learn how to:

  • Understand the clear Biblical reasons people should be baptized in the Spirit and what that really means
  • Biblically receive and experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit
  • Unlock the benefits and blessings of being baptized in the Spirit
  • Operate in the gifts of the Spirit: prophecy, tongues, and other supernatural graces

All Christ-followers have the Holy Spirit living within them. And yet, there is more. When you are baptized in the Spirit you will experience new dimensions of God's power resting upon you in a supernatural way!

Powerful and Practical

This book will give you a much stronger biblical, theological and historical perspective on the baptism. It might also challenge you in ways you were not expecting. It made me truly consider the cost of what I am asking for. My favorite quote from the book is actually when Randy quotes someone else but I think it’s sums this book up nicely:

“I think it is a waste of time for us Christians to look for power we do not intend to use: for might in prayer, unless we pray, for strength to testify, without witnessing; for power unto holiness, without attempting to live a holy life; for grace to suffer, unless we take up the cross; for power in service, unless we serve.”

Great material, but somewhat difficult to listen to.

Dr. Clark's research, experience, and scholarship is thorough and broad, bringing much needed clarity to the discussion of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have found much food for thought here.

As for the narration, I have heard other works of Mr. Crockett's, and while I still cringe every time I hear him say "subSEEquent," I happily note the continued improvement in his craft. All in all, a bit difficult to listen to but worth the small stuggle!

excellent analysis, theological and experiential

I really appreciated how Randy ran the full Gambit of giving background on the various theological perspectives on baptism in the Holy Spirit. All the way from ultra-conservative Catholicism to very liberal Pentecostal he gives a historical background on perspective, practice, and history. I believe he gives a very fair assessment of all Faith backgrounds. I also like that he gives the reader permission to have their own takeway based on their background. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to have a better understanding about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, both from a theological perspective and from the experience of others who claimed to have had it.

For someone seeking education

This book is great for the history buff or person who loves knowing what has happened to get us where we are today. It is about the history around the teaching and experiences of the Spirit and less about what it looks like to be baptized in the Spirit. My take away was God is always working and He is happy to meet us where we are at and teach us about who He is in a way that we can receive the upgrades He has for us.

Don't want to be rude...

Loving the content, but the reader is super distracting. His pronunciation and intonation are not helpful in listening to the book.
