Publisher's summary

Christians tend to polarize. Some have an intellectual faith, while others are more emotional. Some focus on structure while others focus on freedom. And some champion evangelism while others advocate for social action. John Stott's classic statement of balanced Christianity shows how we can hold these tensions together in biblical, faithful ways. Also includes an interview with John Stott with further reflections on the need for balance in contemporary evangelical Christianity.

Rich, Clean, Hopeful, Refreshing

The book is historically and intellectually rich, I enjoyed Mr. Stott's curiosity, open inquiry, deep roots in scripture and it's authoritative bedrock of truth.
I enjoyed seeing credit given to liberalism, Catholicism, secular social justice movements and other sources - all in light of scripture.
There's more to be said, but go read for yourself. It's also well-performed here!

Unique view

Truly unique and researched view on the subject. Well worth the time to listen. Might require more than one listen to follow some of the arguments.
