    "Don't Read This Book!"

The narrator is over the top for this work. The work is bizarre, out of a twisted mind. It is hard to understand. I tried! After 15 minutes I shut it off. Later I slept. Nightmare after nightmare came. Real horrors, waking me every hour. At one point I threw my IPad across the room ( still sleeping I was). I prayed that morning, never again to listen to this evil. 5 stars because this is the real shit. BEWARE!!!

"Ridiculous Narrator Used His "Spooooky Voice""
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not this particular one due to the terrible narration. Returning it.

Would you be willing to try another book from Aleister Crowley? Why or why not?

If it's a different narrator, yes.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He read the entire book including the credits in a ridiculous Halloween voice. A demon voice I guess? It really made the book impossible to absorb.

Was Aleister Crowley's Liber Al vel Legis worth the listening time?

It wasn't good but it didn't take very long. 45 mins.

    "A cavalcade of vocal fry."

I was elated to see some of Crowley's work on audible but it was a bit painful making it through this one . Keep Crowley's work coming, but dial the vocal fry WAAAAAY back. Other than that, the delivery and mixing were superb!

    "Is this dogma or poetry?"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Aleister Crowley still has a grip in pop culture from beyond the grave. This was his most widely known work so it was great to hear narrated by someone youthful. Don't get it twisted, Dennis Logan sounds like he's experienced life a few times over and the way he narrated The Book of the Law may have been more appropriate for Diary of a Drug Fiend.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Aleister Crowley's Liber Al vel Legis?

The irony of listening to this audiobook after hearing the comment at the end. This book might put a curse on you!

Have you listened to any of Dennis Logan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, that's how I found this. Dennis Logan's done quite a few books with Joseph Lumpkin. Their version of The Book of Enoch: A Complete Guide and Reference is the best audio rendering of Enoch to date. The Gnostic Gospels and The Book of Giants are also worth mentioning. This title is in step with the quality production I'm coming to expect from him. There are no notes or comments so all the words are Crowley's. Logan put a nice spin on his approach, it's different, a little weird, a little cracked-out in parts, but that elevates this production to the level of art. Dennis Logan gave a captivating performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes god yes. I love Dennis Logan's voice. Certain words send shivers down my spine. I got wet a few times, and this isn't a romance novel! Listened to it a few times in a few days. It plays like an album at about 45 minutes.

    Any additional comments?

Dennis Logan really brought this title to life. Though I doubt Crowley really sounded like Logan, or anything remotely close, I think that Logan did an outstanding job in bringing this work into the present for consumption by the current and future generations. There's even a version on YouTube with music by hip hop producers!

"Interesting book ruined by weird narration"

I will have to purchase the written version of this book of what is an interesting text. Sadly the narration is so unbearable and difficult to listen to, I could net even get through thirty minutes of the audiobook. Shame really.
