Publisher's summary

What comes to mind when you hear the word Father? A general definition of the word father is parent, or more specifically a male parent. In fact the Greek word pater does mean father but pater is where we get the word parent from. The word father should go way deeper than just parent. What many of us desire when we think of the word father is an example, a leader, one who guides and encourages and loves. One who is always there and always will be there. But that definition and description is not what many of us think of when it comes to the word father. Many did not have a close relationship with their father and many more did not even have a relationship with their father. I did have a relationship with my earthly father and I am eternally thankful for that. It wasn't perfect but my father did provide, protect, and was always there. My earthly father had weakness and limitations, but our Heavenly Father does not.

That is awesome to see God as a Father! It is not only awesome, but necessary. Let me explain. When we look at God we may see a being that cannot be reached, one residing in the Heavens whom we cannot even picture or imagine. We cannot hardly imagine Heaven and all it has to offer much less the God of Heaven. Even while I was in Church or a part of the religious system in my childhood days coming to God was not even possible. It was hard enough getting close to the Priests much less to God. It may be difficult for you now to see God as a Father, but through this writing I know you will not only see God as the Father, but also embrace the Father.
